The Prep Baseball Louisiana High School Pitcher of the Week highlights the best individual pitching performance for a Louisiana high school player from the previous week.  Each week, high school coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week.  If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please email Alex Armand at [email protected]

While there can only be one pitcher and player of the week, our Diamond Notes, which are released every Wedensday, are intended to shine a spotlight on other noteworthy performances from the previous week.

-Hits Allowed: 1

-Strikeouts: 16

-Walks: 4

The former Future Gamer and Northwestern State recruit got his senior campaign off to a big start in Week 1. On opening day, Lamartina came in relief against Teurlings Catholic and earned the win for the Rams after tossing 4 shutout innings with 5 strikeouts. He then turned around on Saturday and threw 6 innings of no-hit baseball with 11 strikeouts to earn the win against Kaplan.
