The Prep Baseball Virginia/DC staff makes their way across the Commonwealth and DC throughout the spring to assist high school players in gathering evaluations, including video and some data, that allow our staff to assist in the potential recruitment of student-athletes.

Glenvar

Cameron Feazell SS / RHP / GLENVAR, VA / 2028

Athletic and sturdier frame with added strength and bat-to-ball skills. Worked multiple deep counts in the three-hit night, including two singles and a double, and contributing to two RBIs.

 

 

Hopewell

Ethan Mccomber SS / RHP / HOPEWELL HIGH, VA / 2027

Lean frame with room to add. Longer arm action from a three-quarters slot with intent to the delivery. Fastball has late life through the zone, up to 88 mph twice, and has more in the tank as the operation continues to develop. Shorter slurve shape with the breaking ball, living in the low 70’s.

 

 

South County

Dylan Jiang SS / 3B / South County High, VA / 2028

Jiang has an athletic frame with some strength present but room to add more. Right-handed hitter, hits from a slightly open relaxed stance. Quiet set-up and load, very patient approach at the plate, and showed good feel for the strike zone. Short simple swing with good balance at contact and throughout. Also showed some power and ability to lift and drive with a double off of the left field wall. On the barrel in both of his at-bats and waited out a walk in the other.
