Welcome to the KSHSAA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Kansas staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.

Zane Shaw was nearly untouchable on the mound, earning the win with a dominant one-hit shutout and nine strikeouts over seven complete innings. Olathe West pitcher Vicente Rodriguez delivered a stellar performance in the loss, holding the opposition to just one run across six innings of work.

Despite being outhit by their opponents, the Tigers found the necessary spark with RBI contributions from Colin Crowson and Brady Skahan to clinch the win. Perry-Lecompton saw strong individual efforts from Kaleb Confer and Kayden Baker, who each tallied two hits in the defensive battle.

Despite the deficit, Perry-Lecompton outhit the Tigers with a 10-hit effort led by Kaleb Confer’s three hits and a solid four-inning relief appearance from Colby Krein.

Despite the loss, Turner saw base hits from Layne Taylor and Eddie Guerrero.

Iola broke an extra-inning stalemate to defeat Girard 4-2, fueled by a clutch two-run single from Kale Pratt in the top of the eighth. The victory was set up early by Tre Wilson’s two-run home run in the first, while Jase Herrmann provided six solid innings on the mound to keep the game within reach. Girard fought back to tie the game in the fifth behind RBI efforts from Briggs Buckingham and Robbie Bruning, supported by a two-hit performance from Kam Smith.
