Welcome to the IHSA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Illinois staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.

We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team's box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they're able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. No. 1 St. Laurence defeated St. Francis by the score of 12-3. The Vikings offense was led by Danny Donovan (2026; UW-Parkside Commit), who drove in five RBIs including a grand slam. Daniel Coyle (2026; Lewis Commit) had a 4-for-4 day at the plate with a double, three singles, four runs scored, and two RBIs. Cory Les (2026; Louisville Commit) chimed in by hitting an RBI triple, RBI groundout, drawing two walks, and scoring two runs. Sean Popp (2026; Oakton CC Commit) hit a two-run single to knock in his two RBIs of the game. Samuel Chin (2026; Ball State Commit) pitched a quality start by delivering five innings and striking out eight.

No. 7 Normal Community shut out Champaign Central by the score of 10-0. The Ironmen offense was led by Drew Stevens (2026; Valparaiso Commit), who drove in a two-RBI single and an RBI groundout. Gavin Michaels (2026; Cincinnati Commit) went 2-for-4 including a two-RBI single and scoring two runs. Beckett Weber (2026) hit an RBI single to get on the board for this contest. All this was en route to a six-run sixth inning. Gavin Swartz (2026; Indiana Commit) pitched a quality start by delivering five scoreless frames and striking out seven.

H T. Gasner: 2-for-3, 2 RBI

No. 4 Huntley defeated Crystal Lake South by the score of 4-1. Tommy Gasner (2028) led the Red Raiders offense in RBIs on his two-run single. Kyle Ziebell (2026; Lake Land CC Commit) drove in an RBI double as part of a four-run fourth inning. Sean Dabe (2027) pitched four innings and struck out four batters, which earned him the win. Josh Rudnick (2026; McHenry County JC Commit) faced the minimum batters in his two-inning six-out save.

Edwardsville 15

H S. Leas: 4-for-4, 2B, 5 RBI

Edwardsville won a huge matchup against No. 6 O'Fallon by the score of 15-10. The Tigers offense was led by Sutton Leas (2027), who went 4-for-4 with a bases-clearing double, three singles, and five RBIs. Joel Fields had a day himself by driving in four RBIs on his RBI bunt single, two-run single, and a sacrifice fly. Tony Eberlin (2026) delivered a quality start by tossing five innings and striking out three, which earned him the win. For O'Fallon, Brayden Robertson (2026; UI-Springfield Commit) led the Panthers with four RBIs on his three-run home run and RBI single while scoring two runs. Anthony Perez (2026; Central Alabama CC Commit) had a day himself with two singles and three RBIs while scoring two runs.

#7 Lockport 15

H J. Kies: 3-for-3, 2 R, 2 RBI

No. 7 Lockport routed Alleman by the score of 15-0. Kaden O'Leary (2027) was on the home run board for the Porters with his solo shot. Josh Kies (2027) and Connor Ryan (2026; Lewis Commit) both led the team with two RBIs. Kies went a perfect 3-for-3 with three singles, including two RBI singles while scoring two runs. Ryan went 2-for-2 that included an RBI double and RBI single while scoring a run. Drew Satunas and Jack Schiek (2026; Purdue-NW Commit) both knocked in RBI doubles in this contest. More importantly, Emmett O'Keefe and Martin Kinnane (2026; Purdue-NW Commit) pitched a four-inning combined no-hitter. O'Keefe went three innings and struck out four while Kinnane faced the minimum batters in the fourth inning and struck out on of them.

H B. Hasquin: 2-for-3, 2 2B, 2 RBI

No. 8 Triad edged out Marshall County by the score of 4-3. Brody Hasquin (2027) provided the key hit for the Knights on his two-RBI double. Carter Gaskill (2026; UI-Springfield) went 2-for-4 with an RBI triple, single, and a run. Nathan Klucker (2027) knocked in an RBI single in this contest. Kody Anderson (2029) pitched four innings and struck out five to secure the win. Brody Hasquin also got it done on the mound by striking out four in his nine-out save.

#10 Mount Carmel 8

H J. Ireland: 2-for-3, RBI, HBP

No. 10 Chicago Mt. Carmel shut out IC Catholic Prep 8-0. Jake Matise (2026; Lewis commit) was dominant in this one, tossing a complete game shutout, while only needing 68 pitches to do so. Matisse only surrendered three hits and struck out 10 in the outing. The Caravan offense was steady all day, scoring in five of six innings. Joey Ireland (2026; Illinois commit) recorded two hits, an RBI, and a HBP, Brady Holland (2026; Georgetown commit) added two hits and an RBI, and Christian Clark (2026; Triton JC) collected two hits of his own. Evan Madrigal (2027) collected two of the three hits for the Knights.

No. 14 Marquette defeated Lexington by the score of 9-3. Caden Durdan (2027) drove in a bases-clearing double to lead the Crusaders in RBIs. Easton Debernardi (2027) hit a solo home run and an RBI double while scoring two runs. Anthony Couch (2026; Spoon River JC Commit) knocked in a two-RBI double in this contest. Couch also delivered 4.2 innings and struck out five to earn the win.

No. 15 St. Joseph-Ogden scored two in the top of the seventh to defeat No. 21 Normal University. Logan Rosenthal (2026; Heartland CC commit) led the way, going 3-for-3 with a 2B, BB, and three runs scored. Finn Miller (2027) also had a good day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a 2B, three RBI, and a run scored. Trevor Ames (2026; Morton JC commit) got on base three times, stole two bags, scored, and drove one in. Jameson Ehler (2028; 2IP, H, 0R, BB, K) got the win in relief. Cole Brent (2027; Illinois commit) led the Normal University offense, smacking two doubles and scoring a run.

No. 16 Mascoutah defeated Althoff Catholic by the score of 6-1. Carson Moll (2026; Rend Lake JC Commit) led the Indians offense by going 2-for-3 with two singles, a sacrifice fly, and three RBIs. Nathan Walker (2026; Southwestern Illinois JC Commit) hit an RBI single and stole two bases in this contest. Nolan Lebert (2026; Olivet Nazarene Commit) hit a sacrifice fly to knock in his RBI, while more importantly, tossing three hitless innings and striking out seven batters.

No. 19 Geneva took down St. Charles North 3-1 to improve to 13-2 on the season. AJ Minderman (2028) went the distance on the mound, giving up just one run on four hits, while striking out eight. The offense was led by Tate Beran (2028; 2-for-3, 3 SB), Nick Lozano (2028; 2-for-3, RBI, R), and Alex Abraham (2027; 2-for-4). Jacob JaLove (2026; Elmhurst commit) got the start for St. Charles North and went 3.1 scoreless innings, while striking out two.

Minooka came from behind and took down No. 22 Lincoln-Way West by the score of 4-3. Rhett Harris (2026; Parkland Commit) hit the game-winning two-RBI single in the top of the seventh inning to win it for the Indians. Logan Mackin (2027) tossed five innings and struck out seven batters in his outing. For Lincoln-Way West, Michael Pettit (2026; Notre Dame Commit) led the Warriors offense with two RBIs on his two-run home run.

Nicholas Kohlhase (2027; 3-for-3, 2B, RBI, SB) and Logan Laudadio (2027; 3-for-3, RBI, 2 R) both collected three hits to power the Tigers offense.

Glenbard South took down Aurora East 12-5. Nate Melon (2028; 3-for-4, RBI, BB 2 R) and Jake Ruge (2027; 2-for-3, 3B, 2 RBI, BB, 2 R) led the charge for the Raiders offense. Cooper Langreder (2027), John Blackmore (2027), and Dominic Fratus (2028), each collected two hits. Daniel Alcala got the start on the mound and went five strong innings, allowing three runs and punching out seven.

Harvest-Westminster 11

Recap

Harvest-Westminster took down Larkin 11-4. Tommy Neubert (2027) led the way on both sides of the ball, tossing four and a third on the mound, allowing two earned runs with six strikeouts and then going 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI at the plate.

Recap

St. Rita shutout Marmion 9-0. Will Rewers (2026; Saint Ambrose) earned the win, tossing six innings of shutout ball, scattering two hits and two walks with six strikeouts. Danny Corona (2027; 2-for-2, 4 RBI) and Ryan Jones (2027; 2-for-3, 2 RBI) led the way offensively.

Saunton shutout Bushnell-Prairie City 16-0. Aiden Saracco (2028) tossed four innings of two-hit ball with seven strikeouts. Matt Overby (2026) and Saracco recorded back-to-back homers.

Recap

Westmont took down Lisle 15-9. Westmont improves to 9-8 on the season. Ricky Yenkin (2027) got the win on the mound and Alex Meyer (2028) got the save. Jaxson Chinea (2027) and Hank Barrett (2027) had three runs scored. Ricky Yenkin also swatted a home run and drove in two. Nikolai Baldwin (2026) had four RBI and Alex Meyer (2028) added a pair of hits and a pair of walks.
