Welcome to the IHSA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Illinois staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.
We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team’s box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they’re able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. Cory Les (2026; Louisville Commit) and Tristian Steger (2027; Kentucky Commit) both played the long ball with a solo home run. Four pitchers combined to throw a one hitter to shut out the Simeon offense. Carter Mosher (2026; Joliet JC Commit) threw the first two scoreless innings and struck out two. Cory Les finished it by striking out three of the four batters he faced.

Michaels went 2-for-4 with a triple, single, walk, three stolen bases, and three runs scored. Naour went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a solo home run, a walk, and two runs scored. Max Heineman (2026; UIC Commit) played in on the long ball as well with a two-run home run, along with a triple and RBI single. Kyle Glass (2027) got the win in relief by throwing 2.2 scoreless frames and striking out a batter.

Gasner finished with two hits, a double, and three RBIs, Drew Borkowski (2026; Heartland) had two doubles and scored twice. Liam Nash (2027; Houston) allowed three hits, one run, and struck out seven in four innings of work. The Red Raiders advance to 13-1 after the walk-off win.

Nolan Macholz (2026; Elgin CC Commit) hit a key two-RBI single to bring the deficit to two. Brody Phelps (2027) brought the deficit even closer with an RBI single of his own. Then, after Phelps scored the tying run on a wild pitch, Charlie Peppeard (2027) came in the clutch and provided the go-ahead RBI single that proved to be the game winner. Landon Paul (2027) was on the mound and got the win after throwing 1.2 innings while striking out two and not giving up a run. For Libertyville, their offense was led by Carson Holmes (2026), who went 2-for-4 with a double, single, a walk, and three RBIs.
