NOTABLE TEAMS IN WEEK 7 MOVING UP 📈

Maple Mountain

The Maple Mountain Golden Eagles (16-2) have officially taken flight, soaring into the #1 spot this week. Their ascent was powered by a surgical performance in region play, highlighted by an explosive offense that has averaged over nine runs per game over their last five outings. With a balanced rotation that has consistently stifled high-powered lineups and a defense that remains one of the cleanest in the 5A class, Maple Mountain has cemented themselves as the new team to beat in the Beehive State.

Pleasant Grove

The Pleasant Grove Vikings (12-6) continue their steady climb into the elite tier of 5A, jumping three spots to #7. The Vikings have found their rhythm at the plate, evidenced by a signature victory this past week where the middle of the order accounted for seven combined RBIs. Their pitching staff has shown remarkable depth, successfully navigating deep into games and allowing the bullpen to shut the door in high-leverage situations. PG looks every bit the part of a championship contender as we head into late April.

Bingham

The biggest mover of the week, the Bingham Miners (12-4) rocketed up six spots to #13. Bingham has been on a tear, utilizing a "refuse to lose" mentality to sweep their most recent region series. The Miners' resurgence is built on a foundation of aggressive baserunning and elite situational hitting. With momentum firmly on their side and the roster firing on all cylinders, Bingham is quickly becoming the team that no one in the 6A bracket wants to see in May.

Layton

The Layton Lancers (12-5) find themselves on the rise again, moving up four spots to #18. The Lancers have showcased impressive resilience, bouncing back from early region tests to put together a string of dominant performances. Their ability to execute in the small-ball game while relying on a front-end rotation that piles up strikeouts has made them a dangerous out. With 12 wins now under their belt, Layton is peaking at the perfect time.

Copper Hills

Making a loud debut in the Weekly Top 25, the Copper Hills Grizzlies (13-5) claim the #21 spot. The Grizzlies have been one of the state’s most consistent surprises, rattling off a win streak fueled by a breakout offensive year. Their recent performances against established programs have proven that they have the depth to compete with anyone on any given day. As they transition into the heart of their region schedule, Copper Hills is a team with a very high ceiling.
