Reno 10, Carson 2
Reno High School utilized a heavy offensive output in the middle innings and a dominant start on the mound to secure a 10-2 victory over the Carson Senators on Thursday. The Huskies’ efficient attack, which featured four doubles and constant pressure on the basepaths, maintained control from the second inning onward.

The star of the game was junior Troy Riley. The Oregon State commit stifled the Senators over 5.2 innings, surrendering just two runs and striking out eight to earn the win. Offensively, Logan DaForno led the charge with a game-high three RBIs, while senior Sawyer Sala and Pike Adrian each collected two hits. Rex Edwards and Wilson Thomton added to the barrage with RBI doubles to extend the early lead. Carson found small bright spots in Chad Breeden and sophomore Lucas LaFollette, who each recorded a hit in the losing effort.

Palo Verde 6, Durango 4
Palo Verde utilized a clinical display of situational hitting and efficient relief work to edge out Durango 6-4 on Wednesday. Despite recording only six hits, the Panthers capitalized on defensive miscues and worked deep counts to secure the road victory.

The offense was led by junior Karsen Smaka, who reached base in three of his four plate appearances, tallying two doubles and scoring twice. Sophomore Noah Knudson, Nevada's top-ranked sophomore, provided the essential insurance with two RBIs and closed out the game on the mound. Sophomore Gavyn Kim earned the win with five strong innings, surrendering just one run while striking out 4 in the process. Durango's power came from Luke Desoto and Jackson Trantham, who each launched solo home runs.

Boulder City 10, Coronado 8 (8 Innings)
Boulder City outlasted Coronado in an eight-inning thriller on Wednesday, securing a 10-8 road victory. In a back-and-forth battle that saw the teams combine for 27 hits, the Eagles used a three-run eighth inning to pull ahead for good and secure the extra-inning win.

The star of the game was junior Gavin Robinson, who turned in a perfect 4-for-4 performance at the plate. Robinson fell just a home run short of the cycle, tallying two doubles and a triple while driving in a run. Junior Tate Crine provided the decisive power with a solo home run, finishing 2-for-3, while Colten Lewis earned the win on the mound with two innings of effective relief. Coronado was anchored by Matthew Smoot, who launched a solo home run and finished with three hits, and Ryder Metz, who added two hits and an RBI.

Reed utilized a dominant performance on the mound to stifle Douglas 4-1 on Thursday. The Raiders combined high-leverage pitching with timely hitting to secure the victory, racking up 16 total strikeouts to keep the Tigers’ offense at bay.

The story of the game was senior Chase Spencer, who turned in a masterful performance. The 6'5" right-hander dismantled the Douglas lineup over 6.1 innings, surrendering just two hits and one run while racking up a staggering 14 strikeouts. Offensively, Gage Burns, a Butte College commit, provided the middle-order muscle with a key RBI double. Sophomore Braxton Liguori ignited the attack from the leadoff spot with two hits and two runs scored. Kadin Richhart provided lights-out relief to close the door, striking out two more in the final frame. Douglas was led by Blaine Bilderback, who struck out eight in a solid start, and Nolan Paine, who drove in the Tigers' lone run.

Spanish Springs utilized a disciplined approach at the plate to overcome a 10-hit attack from Damonte Ranch, securing an 8-4 victory on Thursday. Despite being out-hit by the Mustangs, the Cougars capitalized on nine walks and efficient situational hitting to maintain control.

The game was broken open in a chaotic five-run third inning where Spanish Springs displayed ultimate patience. Ryland Shaw led the charge with a game-high two RBIs, while Cole Schaffer and Tyson McNeil each delivered RBI singles during the surge. Senior Logan Johnson earned the win, grinding through five innings of work, while Luis Flores secured the save with two hitless innings of relief. Damonte Ranch was led by Spencer Deitz, who recorded two hits and two RBIs, and Matt Schreiner, who added two hits of his own.
