FROM MONDAY (3.30.26)
+ WEST UNION VS MARSHALL ACADEMY
Marshall Academy walked it off in extras to defeat West Union 1-0 on Monday in a pitcher’s duel. With the game scoreless through seven, Carpenter delivered the game-winning RBI single in the eighth. Todd was outstanding on the mound, tossing a complete-game shutout over eight innings, allowing just three hits. West Union’s Henry matched him with seven scoreless innings and five strikeouts, but the Eagles were limited offensively despite two hits from Wallis.
+ NORTH PONTOTOC VS SALTILLO
Saltillo picked up a 6-3 win over North Pontotoc on Monday behind a strong offensive showing. Phillips led the way with a 2-for-3 day and three RBIs, including a home run, while Rogers also added two hits. Saltillo got production early with multiple long balls and maintained control throughout. Rodgers earned the win, and Darsey was sharp out of the bullpen with 2.2 scoreless innings to close it out. Bledsoe paced North Pontotoc with two hits and a two-run homer in the loss.
+ TUPELO CHRISTIAN VS NETTLETON
Tupelo Christian Prep picked up a 5-0 win over Nettleton on Monday behind a combined shutout from three pitchers. Wamble earned the win with five scoreless innings, while Coker and Kenney closed it out to complete the shutout. Godown led the offense with a perfect 3-for-3 day, including a triple, and the Eagles applied pressure on the bases with five stolen bags. Tupelo Christian totaled eight hits in the win, while Nettleton was limited to just two.
+ FIRST ASSEMBLY CHRISTIAN VS NORTHPOINT CHRISTIAN
Northpoint Christian picked up a 4-2 win over First Assembly Christian on Monday behind an early offensive push. The Trojans jumped out to a 3-0 lead through two innings and added a solo homer from Lay in the third to create separation. Brown led the way with two RBIs, while the offense did enough early to hold the advantage. King earned the win, and Wheeler delivered 2.1 scoreless innings in relief to secure the victory.
