The No. 1 player in the nation certainly lived up to that billing on this day. The switch hitter put on an offensive show highlighting his ultra-twitchy swing from both sides of the plate. He had a single through the left side before unleashing a home run to deep left-center-field. There’s not much else to say that hasn’t already been said about Seward, but the thing that impresses me the most about his hitting ability is that he simply does not strikeout often. In close to two-dozen viewings since his freshman year, I have witnessed one strikeout in a high school game. The entire package is elite on every level which is why many people in scouting circles have him pegged as the best prospect in the 2028 MLB Draft.
