Risers inside the Top 50

Kenny Norris LHP / 1B / Severna Park High, MD / 2028

Arguably, the biggest statement made this summer came late, as southpaw Kenny Norris toed the rubber at the MD State Games in August and impressed in every facet. Possessing an imposing 6-foot-4, 215-pound build, Norris dotted the fastball to both sides of the plate, showcasing the ability to miss bats in the zone into the upper 80s (Top 89.6 mph). The slider displays a dynamic shape with tight, late-breaking spin that plays extremely well off the heater. The changeup is a solid 3rd option, killing the spin in the low to mid 70s with effectiveness down. As the strike percentage increases, look for this to be a can't miss lefty to watch this fall.

Noah Tomasino OF / 3B / The Park School of Baltimore, MD / 2028

Tomasino broke onto the scene last spring, as the athletic, yet physical outfielder showcased immense talents that impact the game in multiple facets. The hit tool sparks interest at first glance, showcasing strength and power to the pull-side gap with more on the horizon as physicality continues to be added to the frame. Standing at 5-foot-11, 185-pounds, the makeup is athletic, turning in a sub-7.00 60-yard at our MD ID West this summer with versatility in the outfield. This is a power upside hit tool with a plethora of intangibles to keep close eyes on throughout the fall.

Nicky Soares 2B / SS / Stephen Decatur, MD / 2028

A huge standout from summer tournaments, Soares jumps back inside the top 50 of this rankings update. Increased power numbers with a knack for finding the barrel, Soares can spray gap-to-gap with the best of them and the hit tool continues to impress our staff each time we get eyes on him. Quick twitch in the hands with a consistent approach, look for the Stephen Decatur product to have a huge fall in 2026.
