State of the Class

A deep class of talent at multiple premium positions, this class has now entered the recruiting period and graduated from underclass status. We do see some separation at the top as LHP Ty Pohl stands as the solidified No. 1 player in the class to date. Breakout summers from CF Canyon Koonce and RHP/SS Billy Miller have pushed them to No. 2 and No. 3 in the class, respectively, while SS Dylan Murphy remains in the Top 4 as he is coming off an injury. Murphy held down the top spot for much of this classes' underclass days and will surely make a push back up the board once fully healthy again. SS Callum Birdzell enters top 5 status for the first time after leaving the Future Games as arguably the biggest winner from the Hoosier State and he is followed closely by LHP Luke Hensley, a high-ceiling southpaw that we remain extremely bullish on. While he doesn't garner the biggest attention, CF Mason Biernacki slates in at No. 7 as one of the classes most-dynamic talents. 

The loudest move in this update is the rise of SS Kingston Galentine, a Fort Wayne product who took the Midwest circuit by storm this summer and emerged as one of the buzziest names of the summer. A wiry, athletic, 6-foot-3, 175-pound shortstop; Galentine blends immense upside, bat-to-ball skill, and a coveted profile that could ultimately help him continue to push up the board if strength gains and further refinements are made.

A trio of some of our favorite bats in the class appear just outside the top ten in this update in OF Braylon Storey, SS Jack Whaley, and C Spencer Schiff. Each player brings value in their own unique ways - Storey with a polarizing toolset that is highlighted by a 6.36 60 time and 105+ showcase exits, Whaley with a loud hit/power profile complimented by athleticism, and Schiff owning some of the best bat-to-ball skills in the class with an alluring potential to stick at a coveted defensive spot. 

The arm talent in this class really comes to the forefront when considering that over half of the Top 23 names on our overall list are pitchers. RHP Bishop Moore leads the pack with as big of a ceiling as any right-handed arm on the list, up to 92 already with much more to come as his 6-foot-7 frame adds strength and the delivery continues to sync. Evansville-natives Carson Frome and Darret Branson are high-floor righties that follow closely on his heels, two clean movers who have polished strike-throwing backgrounds to this point in our evaluations. The theme of strike-throwing natures continues at No. 17 and No. 18 with LHP Ian Funk and RHP Drew Morgan falling in line at those spots. To round out this group we have Finn Steiner at No. 22 and Matt Fields at No. 23, a pair of athletic, projectable arms in their own regards who could easily make jumps if offseason gains are made. 

Three position players who plend tools, up-the-middle profiles, and a track record of in-game success stand firmly within our Top 25 in OF Jacob Forystek, C Cooper Nichols, and OF Andrew Noble. Forystek is our favorite mover of the group and boasts the best OF arm in the class, up to 94 this summer, along with a left-handed bat that blends near triple-digit exit velocities with bat-to-ball skills. He is tiered in with Noble, a 6.4 runner with standout bat-to-ball skills of his own. Nichols was a massive winner on the summer circuit & his 6-foot-4 frame and defensive prowess behind the dish establishes a safe floor while he could continue to push up the board with power potential to lean on.
