Casteel picked up one of the biggest wins of the Arizona high school season on Thursday, knocking off nationally ranked St. John Bosco 3-2 in a tightly played battle at the USA Baseball National Training Complex. Facing the No. 1 team in the country, the Colts stayed composed throughout, matching Bosco inning for inning before capitalizing on a late opening in the seventh to take the lead for good. It was a complete team win for Casteel, with timely hitting, aggressive baserunning, and a poised effort on the mound all showing up against elite competition.

Corona del Sol walked it off in one of the marquee matchups on the board, taking down Brophy 4-3 in eight innings. Kellan Tom delivered the final swing with a solo shot to right, lifting the Aztecs to a statement ranked win at home.
