The Prep Baseball California High School Pitcher of the Week highlights the best individual pitching performance for a California high school player from the previous week.  Each week, high school coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week.  If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please be sure to fill out this form before noon on Mondays. 

While there can only be one pitcher and player of the week, our Diamond Notes, which are released every Wednesday, are intended to shine a spotlight on other noteworthy performances from the previous week.

WEEK 4 PITCHER OF THE WEEK

2026 LHP Stevie Jones - Corona del Mar HS

It was a record breaking week for senior Stevie Jones of Corona del Mar HS. Two weeks ago the uncommitted senior broke the career strikeout record for the Sea Kings, then in his start last week, he broke the school career wins record at 22 wins and counting. 

Facing off against Capo Valley Christian, the uncommitted Jones tossed six strong innings while scattering four hits and allowing just one earned run. He added 12 more strikeouts to his school record en route to setting the school record for wins. 

On the season Jones has amassed 34 strikeouts over four starts with a record of 2-2 as the Sea Kings are off to a 5-2 start and begin league play today. 

We salute Senior Stevie Jones of Corona del Mar High School for earning the Prep Baseball California Pitcher of the Week.
