+ C/RHP Ben Haas (Muskego, 2027): The catcher and third baseman boasts a sturdy 6-foot-0, 178-pound frame. At the plate, the left-handed hitter works with a smooth, downhill bat path to and through the baseball, consistently hammering balls through the middle of the field. Haas registered a max EV of 97 mph and an average EV of 88.5 mph, paired with 70.0 mph average bat speed. From behind the plate, throws to second base were measured at 78 mph, with pop times in the low 2.00’s showing carry and accuracy through the base. On the mound, the right-hander works with a controlled tempo into a medium leg-lift and tall/fall delivery, releasing from a clean high 3/4 slot. His fastball sat 81-84 mph, touching 85 mph (an event-best 2,364 rpm) with 19.9 inches of average induced vertical break, while his curveball played at 70-71 mph (2,303 rpm) with 7.9 inches of horizontal movement. He also mixed in a 74-76 mph changeup (2,010 rpm) that showed big lateral fade to the pitch.

+ OF/LHP JD Weiland (Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln, 2027): Standing at a physical 6-foot-4, 225-pounds, highly imposing frame. The left-handed hitter drives the baseball with authority through the middle of the field, creating backspin as he was able to leverage the ball from a downhill swing. He routinely generated hard contact with an impressive 92.8 mph average EV and a peak max EV of 101 mph, while his 79.9 mph average bat speed and 19.0 g of rotational acceleration are very high marks and some of the top swing metrics of the event. Moves well for his size with a 7.18-second 60-yard dash, and his throws home topped 88 mph during outfield evaluations. On the mound, operating exclusively out of the stretch as a southpaw on the mound, he works aggressively downhill with an explosive and repeatable delivery. His fastball sat 82-84 mph (1,946 rpm) with 17.1 inches of average induced vertical break, while his changeup played at 77-78 mph (1,665 rpm) with -14.3 inches of horizontal movement. He also mixed in a 71-76 mph splitter that effectively killed spin and flashed late drop through the zone. It was a very good look from the two-way talent who our staff is excited to view this spring.

OF/RHP Louie Fox (Wauwatosa East, 2027): Standing at a measured 6-foot-1, 179.2 pounds, Fox presents an athletic frame with room to continue adding strength. The left-handed hitter operates from a wide base before deploying a loose and fluid path that is short, fast, and direct to the zone. He shows a natural, hitterish feel in the box, consistently backspinning the baseball to do damage through the big part of the field. Fox generated a max EV of 97 mph and an average EV of 84.9 mph, backed by 74.5 mph bat speed and 14.0 g of rotational acceleration that establishes a highly projectable base for future power output. Rounding out his toolsy profile, the outfielder showcased his premium athleticism by recording a swift 6.77-second 60-yard dash.
