2026 OUTLOOK

+ Silverdale Baptist Academy enters the 2026 season with a veteran-heavy roster and clear expectations after a 19–13 campaign a year ago. Under head coach Lance Rorex, the Seahawks return one of the more experienced senior groups in Division II-A, giving them both lineup depth and pitching versatility as they prepare for another run through District 2.

The offensive core is built around a seasoned 2026 class that has logged significant varsity innings. Tanner Bayne (2026, Columbia State CC) anchors the roster behind the plate, providing leadership, defensive stability, and middle-of-the-order production. His ability to manage the pitching staff while delivering quality at-bats makes him a foundational piece for the Seahawks. Brett Oxford (2026, Maryville) and Gavin Brock (2026, Milligan College) bring versatility and experience to the infield, each capable of impacting the game in multiple ways while keeping the offense balanced.

In the outfield, Graham King (2026, Gadsden State CC) and Caleb Voss (2026, Covenant College) add athleticism and run-producing ability. Both provide experience and physicality, giving Silverdale length through the lineup. Drake Dills (2026) continues that theme of versatility, offering flexibility across multiple positions and factoring into the pitching mix as well.

The 2027 class adds high-end upside, led by Jonah Winton (2027, Kennesaw State), a two-way standout who projects as a key contributor both at shortstop and on the mound. His ability to impact the game in multiple phases gives Silverdale matchup flexibility and leadership beyond his class. Maddux Hasty (2027) is another important returning piece who contributes offensively while also playing a significant role on the mound.

On the pitching side, Silverdale brings back a deep and interchangeable group of arms. Hasty, Moxon Monteith, Jake Murray, Dills, and Winton headline a staff that can mix and match based on opponent and game situation. That depth allows the Seahawks to manage innings strategically throughout district play, a key factor in sustaining success over a long spring schedule.

Additional contributors such as Jacob Shelton (2027) and Cannon Rogers (2027) provide further depth and upside, ensuring that competition within the roster remains strong.

With a senior-laden lineup, multiple two-way pieces, and a pitching staff built on depth and versatility, Silverdale Baptist enters 2026 with the tools to compete at a high level in Division II-A. If the Seahawks can capitalize on their experience and get consistent production from the heart of the order while maintaining stability on the mound, they have the makeup of a club capable of making a serious postseason push.
