Luke Chappell, LHP, Blue Ridge, 2027
Luke took the ball for the tigers and ran with it in the first region game of the week. Absolute dominant performance out of the Junior southpaw. In a pitchers dual that went extra innings, he went 9inn of 2 run baseball (1ER) and 7 punch outs. Got a lot of swing and miss early, and weak contact as the game went on. Was able to keep hitters off balance with the slider. Really worked fastball + slider most of the night, slider with good sweeping action into the backfoot of RHH. Impressive performance from the lefty in a huge region win for Blue Ridge! Will be an interesting follow the rest of the season as the Tigers finish the season.
