Wrenn 10 Powdersville 6
Wren picked up a 10 to 6 win over Powdersville on Thursday behind a dominant all around performance from Greyson Austin. Austin finished with four hits and four RBIs, hitting for extra bases and setting the tone early with a home run. The Hurricanes responded quickly after falling behind and never let up, piling up 15 hits and applying pressure on the bases. Wren added power throughout the lineup and played clean defense to secure the win.

Steele Gamble 2029 LHP Powdersville HS
Gamble came in out of the bullpen on Thursday night against Wren and had a solid showing. The stat line doesn’t show how impressive his stuff was during the outing. The Freshman throws from a low ¾ quarter arm slot that is deceptive for hitters and generates arm-side run. His fastball sat at 80-81 for most of his outing and he topped out at 83. His most effective pitch later in the game was a slider at 66-68. He is very difficult to hit when he is locating both pitches and staying out of the middle of the plate. I look forward to seeing him continue to develop and expect him to throw some big innings for Powdersville in the coming years.
