This Saturday, Prep Baseball was in attendance for an intriguing non-league matchup at Sehmel Park as Gig Harbor hosted West Seattle. The offense was humming early for both sides, with West Seattle holding on in the end for a narrow 7-5 victory. Below are scouting notes on standout players from both sides.
West Seattle vs. Gig Harbor (3.28.26)
West Seattle
'28 1B/OF Brady Stenberg (Uncommitted)
One of the keys to victory on the WS side, Stenberg provided big time offensive production in what ended up being a tight contest. The tall, physical lefty bat was on the barrel from the jump, reaching base in each of his first two plate appearances with two hard-hit singles. Stenberg sets in an upright, open setup, carrying a flatter barrel path with bat speed through the zone. The offensive pop given his underclass status really stood out, and he'll be a middle of the order-type bat to monitor moving forward. Finished 2-4, 2 R, 2 RBI in this game.

Taller, relaxed setup into sudden trigger. All-fields approach with more power likely as frame continues to develop. 2 runs and 2 RBI so far.… pic.twitter.com/982a1qSY2B
'27 RHP Ivan Rudich (Uncommitted)
Ruduch is an interesting uncommitted junior with upside despite mixed results on Saturday. The wiry-framed righty worked through a steady wind with late arm speed, with a lower 3/4 slot, ultra-whippy and loose arm action. The fastball carried added life at times at 82-84 MPH, and could play up as he continues to develop. The sweeper flashed as a potential plus offering with significant horizontal action to the glove side, inducing ugly swings at times. Rudich allowed 3 ER and struck out 3 in 4 innings of work. Arm to circle.
'26 1B Keaton Gunter (Uncommitted)
A 1B-only type defensively, Gunter provided a big knock from the bottom part of the order in what was a breakout first two innings for the Wildcats. The senior did well to stay on a pitch low and away on the corner, staying in his lower half to drop in a 2 RBI single. Gunter also walked later on, finishing 1-3 overall. The first baseman made the routine play defensively as well, and will be a key depth piece this spring.

'26 OF/RHP Sacha Ninburg (Lower Columbia commit)
The LC commit flashed some of the louder tools of any Wildcat, and has been a staple on both sides of the baseball at the varsity level for multiple years now. On the mound, Ninburg was 85-86 MPH with his fastball, creating some deception with a short, quick arm action and a cross-body finish. The righty pitched to contact, particularly in the air, to spin a scoreless two innings of relief to earn the save. The lefty bat also went 1-3 with a walk and a run scored. Key two-way piece.
Gig Harbor
'27 1B Camden Bentley (Uncommitted)
In what was one of the best offensive displays we've seen live all season, Bentley almost single-handedly kept his team in it on Saturday. The junior finished 4-4 with 4 RBI, including three different RBI hits throughout the contest. The swing worked well to the pull side and middle of the field, creating a wider base at contact with balance and a tighter upper half coil. Bentley showed great plate coverage. lining balls both up/down and in/out of the strike zone. He often jumped on fastballs, taking advantage early in the count. Standout performance.

'26 OF Greyson Riley (Uncommitted)
An experienced lefty stick from Gig Harbor's playoff run last spring, Riley was great in this look, finishing 2-3 with 2 runs scored. The lefty maintained balance with a minimal weight shift/load, staying on the back side through the swing to produce flush contact. The senior has enough athleticism and speed for all three outfield positions with ample arm strength shown pregame. Key player moving forward.
'27 INF Zach Smith (Uncommitted)
One of the best athletes on the field in this one, Smith looked the part of an up the middle defender, particularly in his pregame INF/OF workout. The soft hands and sound feet moved well enough to stick on the dirt. Offensively, Smith moved with similar fluidity and ease, collecting a hit, walk, and two runs scored in this game. Name to know in the class.
'26 RHP Logan Pedersen (Chemeketa CC Commit)
In what was a tougher game for pitching as a whole, Pedersen was a bright spot for the Tides, throwing up zero's to keep his team in it until the end. The lean, longer-limbed righty changed speeds well and lived in the bottom of the zone for the most part, mixing in a low 80's fastball and slower breaker as well. Pederson didn't allow an earned run in 4 IP, allowing 2 H, 2 BB and 3 K's. The senior had a strong junior season and is off to a nice start in his senior spring, allowing just 1 ER in 10.2 IP so far.
