Welcome to the IHSA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Illinois staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.
We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team’s box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they’re able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. The Ironmen offense was led by Drew Stevens (2026; Valparaiso Commit), who went 2-for-3 with a walk, single, double, a run scored, and three RBIs. Jacob Engel (2026) went 3-for-4 with three singles, two runs scored, and two RBIs. Andrew Naour (2026) hit a two-RBI single and Lucas Beaty (2027) hit an RBI single in this contest. Gavin Swartz (2026; Indiana) tossed four innings and struck out five to earn the win.

Christian Clark began the scoring with an RBI groundout while TJ McQuillan (2026; Wake Forest Commit) hit the go-ahead two-RBI double that proved to be the game winner. Ian Tosi (2026; Miami Commit) tossed a complete game and struck out five while giving up three hits and an earned run. He was going against Lockport's Austin Winge (2027), who went five innings with seven punchouts.

Colin Campbell (2027; Louisville Commit) provided a sacrifice fly, and Brent Nevils (2026; Xavier (LA) Commit) knocked in an RBI single. On the mound, Aidan Dillon (2027) tossed a complete game and struck out four while giving up three hits and two runs.

For Lane Tech, RBI knocks came from Eric Acevedo (2027) and Paris Head (2029). Acevedo hit the RBI triple while Head hit the RBI single.

Gavin Dworak (2028; 2-for-3, 2 3B, 3 RBI, R) also had a big day at the plate. Kyle LaRose (2027) collected the lone hit for St. Charles East.
