The Prep Baseball California High School Hitter of the Week highlights the best individual offensive performance for a California high school player from the previous week.  Each week, high school coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week.  If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please be sure to fill out this form before noon on Mondays. 

While there can only be one pitcher and player of the week, our Diamond Notes, which are released every Wednesday, are intended to shine a spotlight on other noteworthy performances from the previous week.

WEEK 10 HITTER OF THE WEEK

2026 OF Xavi Cadena, El Dorado High School - CSUF

Coming up big in league play, Xavi Cadena turned in a strong week at the plate, helping El Dorado secure a key win over La Habra while continuing to be a consistent offensive presence in the lineup.

In that league matchup on Friday, Cadena made a major impact, launching two home runs as part of a 3-for-6 week with two walks, two RBIs, and two runs scored, delivering a big performance in a key league win.

The 2026 outfielder and Cal State Fullerton signee has been a steady force all spring, leading El Dorado in every major offensive category while hitting .360 (27-for-75) with 16 runs scored, 21 RBIs, four doubles, one triple, and seven home runs on the season.

We salute senior outfielder Xavi Cadena of El Dorado as the Prep Baseball California Hitter of the Week.
