MONDAY, APRIL 13

PITTSBURG VS. GIRARD

Beck Fern, C/RHP, Pittsburg, 2026
Coffeyville CC signee. 6-foot-1, 240-pound strength-filled frame. Fern left his imprint all over this look for the Purple Dragons. Earning the start on the mound and hitting out of the four-hole, Fern was dominant on the hill, striking out 11 over six strong innings. He pounded the zone with a fastball up to 87 mph and a 69-72 mph curveball that flashed late break and depth. At the plate, he accounted for both of the Dragons' RBIs, taking one of the state's premier arms deep for a two-run shot that gave his team a late lead. With advanced tools already, Fern looks ready to make an immediate impact for the Red Ravens next year.
