The 7A field is set, and the road to Fort Myers runs through some of the most talented programs in Florida. We've broken down every region and mapped out our bracket predictions from the first round all the way through the state championship. Here's how we see it playing out.

Region 1

#1 Creekside vs. #8 Lake Mary Creekside enters as the top seed in the region and one of the most complete programs in the entire state. At 23-4, they've beaten quality competition all year and come into the postseason with plenty of momentum. Lake Mary has the talent to make things interesting early, but walking into Creekside's environment is a different animal. The Knights advance.

#4 West Orange vs. #5 Sandalwood West Orange gets the edge here. They've been the more consistent team against quality competition, and their résumé holds up better than Sandalwood's when you pull back the curtain. West Orange moves on.

Regional Semifinal Pick: Creekside over West Orange West Orange simply isn't in the same tier as Creekside right now. The Knights have been one of the steadiest programs in Florida all season, and that should show in this one.

#2 Spruce Creek vs. #7 Flagler Palm Coast Spruce Creek at 24-3 is one of the more dangerous teams in this bracket, a program that has quietly put together one of the best records in the state. Flagler Palm Coast hasn't faced a schedule that prepares them for this moment. Spruce Creek rolls.

#3 Hagerty vs. #6 Winter Park Hagerty has earned their seed and should handle Winter Park. The Huskies have enough arms and enough lineup depth to manage this game. Hagerty advances.

Regional Semifinal Pick: Spruce Creek over Hagerty Spruce Creek's 24-3 record tells you everything you need to know about how they handle close games and quality opponents. Hagerty will compete, but the Creek's consistency wins out in the end.

Regional Final: Creekside over Spruce Creek This is the most compelling matchup of the region. Both programs have earned their spot, but Creekside's overall body of work, built against a tougher slate, gives them the edge when it matters most. Spruce Creek won't go quietly, but Creekside punches their ticket to the state semifinal.

Region 2

#1 Venice vs. #8 Sumner Venice is the best team in Florida. At 26-1, they've handled everything put in front of them all season. Sumner is a quality program, but the gap here is significant. Venice wins.

#4 George Jenkins vs. #5 Strawberry Crest A tight one on paper. We give the slight edge to Strawberry Crest here; their résumé holds up a tick better when you look at who they've beaten and how they've competed down the stretch. This should be a close game, but Strawberry Crest advances in a mild upset.

Regional Semifinal Pick: Venice over Strawberry Crest Venice is in a class of their own in this bracket and has the arms, lineup depth, and coaching to handle anything Strawberry Crest brings.

#2 Sarasota vs. #7 Plant City Sarasota is the favorite on paper, but Plant City has shown the resilience to compete above their seed. With an ace on the mound like Jake Carbaugh, we go with Plant City for the upset.

#3 Windermere vs. #6 Winter Haven Windermere has the deeper résumé and handles Winter Haven. The Wolverines advance.

Regional Semifinal Pick: Plant City over Windermere This is our biggest upset call in the bracket. Plant City's tournament grit and a slight inconsistency in Windermere's late-season performance set up the conditions for a stunner. Plant City advances to meet Venice.

Regional Final: Venice over Plant City The Cinderella run ends here. Venice is simply too good, and Plant City doesn't have the firepower to hang with the state's top program. Venice wins and heads to the state semifinals.

Region 3

#1 Vero Beach vs. #8 Central Vero Beach has put together a 19-4 record and enters the postseason as the top seed in their region. Central doesn't have enough to keep pace. Vero Beach advances.

#4 Harmony vs. #5 St. Cloud Harmony gets the edge here based on their overall body of work. They've been the more consistent team and their pitching staff gives them a clear advantage in a short series. Harmony moves on.

Regional Semifinal Pick: Vero Beach over Harmony Vero Beach is a program that finds ways to win when it counts. They take care of business against Harmony and advance.

#2 Park Vista vs. #7 Tohopekaliga Park Vista has a significant edge in overall quality here. They've been one of the more reliable teams in the South all season, and Tohopekaliga hasn't shown the ability to match up with a program at this level. Park Vista advances comfortably.

#3 Jupiter vs. #6 Palm Beach Central Jupiter has the edge in pitching depth and lineup balance. Palm Beach Central will compete, but Jupiter moves on.

Regional Semifinal Pick: Jupiter over Park Vista This is a quality matchup between two programs with legitimate postseason pedigree. Jupiter's overall body of work gives them a slight edge, and we expect a tight series with the Warriors advancing to the regional final.

Regional Final: Jupiter over Vero Beach The Warriors pull off the region's signature upset. Jupiter's pitching depth and battle-tested lineup prove too much for Vero Beach to handle, and the #1 seed goes home early. Jupiter punches their ticket to the state semifinals.

Region 4

#1 Stoneman Douglas vs. #8 Coral Gables Stoneman Douglas is one of the top programs in Florida and a legitimate state title contender at 21-5. Coral Gables doesn't have enough to stay in this game. Douglas wins.

#4 Cypress Bay vs. #5 Southwest A competitive first-round matchup. We give Southwest the slight edge here; they've been marginally more consistent when tested, and their pitching lines up well. Southwest advances.

Regional Semifinal Pick: Stoneman Douglas over Southwest Douglas advances and look every bit like the South's best team.

#2 Columbus vs. #7 South Dade Columbus at 24-3 has put together a very strong season. South Dade doesn’t match up with Columbus’s depth. Columbus advances.

#3 West Broward vs. #6 Western West Broward is a legitimate threat with one of the better overall résumés in the region. Western will put up a fight, but West Broward moves on.

Regional Semifinal Pick: West Broward over Columbus Columbus is dangerous, but West Broward's overall quality and depth of résumé give them the edge in what we expect to be one the best series of the round in the bracket. West Broward survives.

Regional Final: Stoneman Douglas over West Broward Stoneman Douglas is the class of their region. Their program pedigree and the way they've competed all season make them the pick. Douglas advances to the state semifinal.

State Semifinals

Venice vs. Creekside Two of the top teams in Florida meet in the state semifinal. Creekside is no pushover at 23-4, but the gap between these two programs is real. Venice has been on a different level all season, and that shows up here. Venice advances to the state final.

Stoneman Douglas vs. Jupiter Douglas is the significant favorite in this one, but Jupiter has already proven they can knock off a top seed. The Eagles' lineup depth and rotation give them a clear edge, and Stoneman Douglas is built for the big moment. Douglas advances to the state championship.

State Championship Prediction: Venice over Stoneman Douglas

The Indians are 26-1 and have been the best team in Florida from wire to wire. The gap between Venice and everyone else in this field is as wide as we've seen from any program in recent memory. They have the arms to win a tight game, the lineup to blow a game open, and the experience to handle the state championship stage.

Stoneman Douglas is a worthy opponent, and the winner of five straight state titles, but Venice is operating on a different level entirely. They've earned this, and we don't see anyone stopping them when it matters most.

Venice wins the 2026 FHSAA 7A State Championship.
