NOTABLE RECAPS FROM TUESDAY
Salem Hills (8) vs. #7 Pleasant Grove (10)
The Pleasant Grove Vikings used a massive six-run first inning to weather a persistent late-game surge and hold off the Salem Hills Skyhawks in a 10–8 victory. While Salem Hills actually out-hit the Vikings 11 to 9, they were forced into a deep hole immediately when the Pleasant Grove lineup went to work against the Skyhawks' opening pitcher. Vake Wolfgramm was nearly perfect at the plate, tallying three hits and two stolen bases, while Tobin Degelbeck provided the heavy lifting with a four-RBI afternoon. Salem Hills refused to fold, sparked by a three-hit performance from Eli Leyva and a gritty six-inning relief appearance from Mason Standifird that allowed the Skyhawks to chip away at the lead. Ultimately, the Vikings’ early cushion and a high-leverage relief bridge from Crew Anderson ensured Pleasant Grove escaped with the hard-fought win despite four defensive errors.

#19 Jordan (3) vs. #15 Corner Canyon (2)
The Jordan Beetdiggers held off a late surge from the Corner Canyon Chargers to secure a gritty 3–2 victory in a premier Region 3 showdown. Talon Petersen was the definitive anchor for Jordan, navigating 6.1 innings of work and surrendering just one earned run to keep the potent Charger lineup at bay. Offensively, the Beetdiggers made their five hits count, led by Dallon Molder, who smashed two doubles and scored a run to spark the attack. Corner Canyon threatened in the final frame with Jack Munson and Lincoln Eure combining for three hits at the top of the order, but they struggled to find the equalizer against a locked-in Jordan defense. Kade Carter stepped onto the mound to record the final two outs, slamming the door on the comeback attempt and sealing a statement win for the Beetdiggers.

#25 West Field (7) vs. Fremont (4)
The West Field Longhorns showcased their offensive depth by pounding out 15 hits to secure a 7–4 victory over the Fremont Silverwolves. West Field set the tone early with a solo blast from Grady Garrett and a strong 3-for-4 performance from Marshal Moon, while Luke Penland and Kason Taylor each drove in a pair of runs to maintain a steady lead. On the mound, Bryce Bagby was the model of efficiency, tossing 6.1 innings without issuing a single walk and fanning six to earn the win. Fremont's Kasen Pearson turned in a valiant two-way effort, racking up three hits with two doubles and providing solid relief pitching, but the Silverwolves couldn't overcome the relentless production from the Longhorns' lineup. Moon eventually moved from second base to the hill in the seventh to record the final two outs and seal the Region 5 win.

Alta (5) vs. #14 Olympus (3)
The Alta Hawks rode a masterful performance from Ian Alvey to secure a 5–3 victory over the Olympus Titans in a tightly contested 5A battle. Alvey was the story on the mound, carving through the Titans' lineup for five scoreless innings while racking up nine strikeouts and surrendering only two hits. Alta’s offense provided early and consistent pressure, pounding out 10 hits led by a 3-for-4 afternoon from Alexandros Price and a clutch two-RBI triple by McCoy Johnson. Olympus struggled to find their rhythm at the plate, finishing with just three hits on the day, though they managed to keep things interesting late thanks to Tucker Cannon’s two RBIs and a string of free passes. However, Johnson transitioned from the outfield to the hill in the final frame to shut the door, preserving the lead and clinching a hard-fought road win for the Hawks.

Crimson Cliffs (2) vs. #3 Snow Canyon (3)
The Snow Canyon Warriors edged out the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs in a high-stakes 3–2 defensive duel that lived up to the Region 9 hype. The game’s defining sequence came from Jagger Mugavero, who provided the critical power with a two-run home run and a double to account for the bulk of the Warriors' offense. While Crimson Cliffs managed to out-hit Snow Canyon 7 to 6—led by a multi-hit afternoon from Cutter Christensen—they were completely stymied in the late innings by the relief work of PJ Hancock. After a solid start from Zac Beck, Hancock entered the game and retired all seven batters he faced, striking out three to slam the door. Madden Smith turned in a gritty complete-game effort for the Mustangs, fanning eight and surrendering just three earned runs, but the Warriors' timely long ball and perfect bullpen execution allowed them to protect their home field and claim a crucial victory in the southern Utah standings.
