News & Notes

+ Southeastern continues its conference hot streak with sweeps over Northeast and DMACC this week, placing them atop the DII standings, sitting 17-1 in conference and 36-9 overall. 

+ Iowa Central rode a 3-0 week, looking to take the series against Northeast in a double header today, 13-3 in conference, 35-6 overall. 

+ Kirkwood rebounds this week, going 4-0, looking to finish the Ellsworth sweep today, 13-4 in conference, 37-6 overall. 

+ Iowa Western still sits atop the D1 standings after a 5-0 week with sweeps over Southwestern and Iowa Lakes, 7-1 in conference, 34-9 overall. 

+ Jacob Neutz with North Iowa Area is now tied for the home run leaders with 21 after sending three over, going 6-for-13, with six RBIs. 

+ George McIntyre continues his hot pace now slashing .507/.630/1.064 with a 1.694 OPS, 21 home runs, 15 doubles, and 64 RBIs. 

+ Justin Rompre continues to dominate in the box with Iowa Western, going 7-for-14, with one home run, four doubles, and 8 RBIs. 

+ North Iowa Areas Tommy Lyman was hot all week, going 9-for-15, three home runs, nine RBIs, and four walks. 

+ Brady Blake with Kirkwood went 7-for-11, one home run, one triple, two doubles, three walks, three RBIs. 

+ Landon Frost for Kirkwood went 7-for-12, three home runs, five walks, 11 RBIs. 

+ Southeastern's James Nydegger went 9-for-17, one home run, two doubles, two walks, 10 RBIs. 

+ Gavin Awbrey was another performer for Aoutheastern, going 9-for-19, three home runs, two doubles, and nine RBIs. 

+ DMACC's Drake Obermueller went 10-for-17, one home run, three doubles, two RBIs. 

+ Marshalltown's Cooper Fiskewold was hot this week, going 9-for-17, two doubles, four walks, nine RBIs. Slashing .361/.484/.689, with a 1.173 OPS, eight home runs, one triple, 14 doubles, 49 RBIs. 

+ RHP Caleb Anderson, in relief on Wednesday for Iowa Western, tossed three scoreless innings, allowing one hit, one walk, and striking out four. 

+ Iowa Western RHP Jaison DeLamar tossed six scoreless, striking out eight, allowing one hit and one walk. 

+ RHP Drew Zemaitis tossed five scoreless innings Sunday, allowing two hits, zero walks, and seven strikeouts. 

+ RHP Keaton Fenn threw six innings for Southeastern, allowing one run on three hits, two walks, and eight strikeouts. 

+ RHP Kyler Kaczmarski struck out seven over six innings of two-run ball for Southeastern

+ Another Southeastern arm in RHP Nolan Meis tossed five innings, allowing one run, striking out seven, walking two, and allowing three hits. 

+ Marshalltown's RHP Chase Bauer struck out nine over five innings of two-run ball, allowing three hits and zero walks. 

+ Southwestern RHP Jackson Yanke tossed seven innings, allowing one earned run, striking out six.
