2026 KSHSAA Player of the Week: Week 4

Eliott Wilk
Central Region Operations Director

Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Prep Baseball KS Player of the Week. We will rely on submissions from high school coaches and others by way of email ([email protected]) or DM on X (twitter). Nominations should include player name, grad year, position, and stat line. The Kansas High School Player of the Week will be released every Tuesday afternoon. We will cover all players nominated for player of the week in our Diamond Notes article that comes out on Wednesdays.

Thank you to each high school coach who submitted a nomination for this week's awards.

Let's take a look at the Player of the Week for Week 4 (April 13th-April 19th):

Grey Sanders RHP / Mulvane, KS / 2026

Sanders was on an entirely different level this past week, delivering two dominant outings for the No. 5 ranked Wildcats. Over 8.0 innings of work, he racked up 20 strikeouts while allowing no hits, no runs, and just three walks across two outings. He opened the week by striking out the side to earn a save against Andale/Garden Plain, then followed that performance with a masterful 7-inning, complete-game no-hitter against McPherson, where he tallied 17 punchouts. On the season Sanders has allowed only two hits and has yet to allow a run in over 19 innings pitched, striking out 43.
