Welcome to the IHSA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Illinois staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.
We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team’s box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they’re able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. Kyle Ziebell (2026; Lake Land JC Commit) hit an RBI double to cap off a four-run fourth inning. The offense continued in the fifth inning as Leo Bianchin (2026; Kishwaukee JC Commit) hit an RBI single while Drew Borkowski (2026; Heartland CC Commit) hit a sacrifice fly. Liam Nash (2027; Houston Commit) tossed five innings and punched out two hitters, which earned him the win.

Ames also took the mound and fired four innings, eight punchouts, while giving up a hit and run which was enough to earn him the win. Jameson Ehler (2028) tossed three stellar hitless innings in relief and struck out seven of the ten batters he faced.

The scoring got started early in the first inning. Mathew Hara (2027) hit a sacrifice fly while RBI singles came from Braden Tolzien (2026; Heartland CC Commit), Jack Cenar (2026), and Chase Lockwood (2026; Illinois State Commit). The game was won in that first inning. Nico Harper (2026; Olivet Nazarene Commit) took the hill and tossed 5.1 innings and struck out three hitters, which was a quality start to earn the win. Aksel McKnight (2027) delivered the final 1.2 hitless innings and struck out four of the seven batters he faced to earn the five-out save.

Gavin Fuscone (2026) set the tone on the mound for St. Charles East, putting together six strong innings of work and only allowing two runs throughout his start while also punching out eight. Kyle LaRose had a strong day out of the leadoff spot, going 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, five RBIs, two runs scored. Dylan McCabe (2027) went 2-for-4 on the day and scored two runs, and James Feigleson (2026; Illinois-Chicago) also drove in a pair of runs of his own en route to the win.

Anthony Couch (2026; Spoon River) and Caden Durdan (2027) each went 3-for-4 on the day with two RBIs, with Durdan also hitting a triple on the day. Michael Johnson (2028) got the start, allowing three runs in five innings and collecting five strikeouts, with Dudan pitching a scoreless inning in relief with two punchouts to in relief.

Pasqualini entered in relief, allowing no runs in over two innings of work to help secure the win. Adyn Fowler (2027) led the scoring for Oswego East, driving in two runs on the day in a 1-for-2 showing at the plate.

Rhett Lynch (2027) and Myles Mitchell (2026) both had a multi-hit game at the plate with an RBI. Lynch finished the day 2-for-3 with a double, with Mitchell putting together a 2-for-4 day of his own.

Jackson Mansker (2026; Indianapolis commit) and Matthew Staniszewski (2026; Joliet JC commit) each tripled while Luke Stoner (2028) and Carson Paulas (2026) each collected two hits for the Warriors.

It was Ramey's sixth home run of the season. SS Jory Crocker (2026; Arizona) added a 3-run double in the second inning. Crocker finished 2-for-3 with four drive in and two stolen bases. CF Jake Bonino (2026; South Suburban) had a triple and scored twice and 3B Ben Swanson (2027) was 2-for-3 with three runs as Willowbrook improved to 28-4. RHP Jake Bylsma (2026) earned the win with three innings of scoreless relief. Crocker took the mound in the seven, striking out two.

In that inning, Michael Daugherty (2028) drew a bases-loaded walk to put the Blue Thunder on the board, and then AJ Scholl (2027) grounded into a double play to push across the second run scored by Brayden Lewis (2026). In the seventh inning, Andrew Bucci (2026) hit an RBI single to bring the deficit closer to two. Then, Brayden Lewis tied it on his two-run single. Later, Lewis gave the Blue Thunder the lead on his steal of home, and then AJ Scholl singled to push across a crucial insurance run for a come-from-behind victory.

The scoring sequence went like this: RBI double from Will Scales, RBI singles from Chace Patterson and Andrew Conaway, two-RBI double from Hunter Loeh, and run scored on a wild pitch by Loeh. Jase Bennett hit a two-RBI triple in the third inning as he topped off a 3-for-4 day at the plate with that knock along with two singles and a stolen base. Hunter Gaither pitched 5.1 strong innings and struck out nine hitters to earn the win.
