The 2026 high school baseball season is underway and, as usual, excitement is present throughout Nebraska. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across the Cornhusker State.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons at Werner Park at the NSAA championship games, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to shine a spotlight on all teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Nebraska.

NOTES-

+ Lincoln Southwest’s Linkin Dush (2026, North Dakota State) struck out 5 in 5 inning complete game victory over the Jr. Jays

+ Omaha Central’s Oscar Yuhas (2026 Orange Cost College) was 2 for 4 at the plate with a double.  scored 3 runs and drove in 3 more in rivalry victory

+ Bellevue west’s Jett Havlet (2028) struck out 6 over 6IP.  Gave up one earned run and didn’t walk a batter to top 10 wolverines in the road.
