Welcome to the IHSA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Illinois staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.
We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team’s box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they’re able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. On the mound, he pitched a five-inning complete game shutout and struck out three batters.

St. Rita would go on to score another by a walk to make the game 6-4, and held off DePaul. Gregory Zaber (2027) got the start for St. Rita, pitching over five innings of work and punching out five, with Ryan Jones shutting the door in the seventh to secure the win. Despite the loss, Ash Marcel had strongest day at the plate for either team, finishing the day 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs.
