Prep Baseball Louisiana: 2026 Playoff Performers (Regional Round)

It's time to highlight some of the top performers from the regional round of the 2026 LHSAA playoffs.  After the completion of each playoff round, we will update this story to continue to highlight the standout performances.  Be sure to follow us, across all our social media platforms, for non-stop coverage of the 2026 LHSAA high school baseball playoffs!

PLAYOFF PERFORMERS (REGIONAL ROUND)

Jordin Griffin OF / 3B / Barbe, LA / 2027

The LSU commit went 2-for-6 (.333) with a home run, 2 runs batted in, 2 runs scored, and a stolen base in the Bucs regional round sweep of Mandeville.

Myles Ledoux 2B / C / Barbe, LA / 2026

The former Future Gamer and Louisiana-Lafayette recruit went 3-for-6 (.500) with a double, 3 runs batted in, 4 runs scored, 2 walks, and 3 stolen bases in the Bucs sweep of 16th seeded Mandeville.

John David Alexander OF / RHP / Barbe, LA / 2026

The former Future Gamer and Texas A&M recruit threw a five inning one-hit shutout with 7 strikeouts to lead the Bucs to the Game 1 win last Thursday and also hit a two-run home run in the 1st inning.

Kason Johnson RHP / 3B / Dutchtown, LA / 2026

The former Senior Future Gamer and Copiah-Lincoln Community College recruit led the Griffins to the Game 1 win over Sulphur last Friday with a complete-game effort and allowed only 1 earned run with 7 strikeouts.

Koa Romero 3B / RHP / Hahnville, LA / 2027

The former Future Gamer and LSU commit went 2-for-3 (.667) with a home run, 2 runs batted in, a run scored, and drew 5 walks last week for the Tigers. Romero also threw a complete-game one-hit shutout with 8 strikeouts in Game 2 to send Hahnville to the quarterfinals. 

Landen Teague SS / RHP / Hahnville, LA / 2027

The uncommitted junior went 4-for-7 with a triple, 5 runs batted in, and 2 runs scored in Hahnville's regional round sweep of 12th seeded Northshore. Teague also earned the save on the mound in Game 1.

Brayden Fontenot 2B / OF / Hahnville, LA / 2027

The uncommitted junior went 3-for-6 (.500) with a home run, double, 2 runs batted in, 4 runs scored, and also drew 2 walks in the Tigers second round sweep of Northshore.

Luke Heiden C / 3B / Hahnville, LA / 2028

Heiden went 3-for-7 with a home run, 3 runs batted in, a run scored, and also drew a walk in the Tigers second round playoff series win.

Braden Sanders OF / Zachary, LA / 2026

The Grambling State recruit went 3-for-5 (.600) with a double, 2 runs batted in, 3 runs scored, and also swiped 4 bases in the Broncos second round sweep of Ruston.

Cullen Howard RHP / SS / Zachary, LA / 2026

Howard led the Broncos to the Game 2 series win over Ruston after tossing a complete-game shutout with 3 strikeouts on 89 pitches (61 strikes & 28 balls).

Cole Snell OF / SS / Benton, LA / 2026

Snell went 6-for-10 (.600) with a home run, double, 3 runs batted in, 3 runs scored, and a stolen bases in the Tigers regional round series win over St. Amant. The LSU-Eunice recruit was also the winning pitcher in Game 2.

Hayden Millen OF / Benton, LA / 2027

Millen went 6-for-10 (.600) with 4 runs scored and 6 stolen bases in the Tigers regional round series win over St. Amant.

Brody Turnipseed 2B / SS / Benton, LA / 2026

The Bossier Parish Community College recruit went 6-for-12 (.500) with a double, 3 runs batted in, and 4 runs scored last weekend for the Tigers.

Braylin Kent OF / 2B / Walker, LA / 2026

Kent went 3-for-6 (.500) with 2 doubles and 3 runs batted in last weekend for the Wildcats in their second round sweep of Live Oak.

Owen Galley RHP / 1B / Sam Houston, LA / 2027

The McNeese State commit earned the Game 1 win last weekend against Haughton after tossing a complete-game shutout with 10 strikeouts. Galley also went 3-for-5 (.600) at the plate with a double and 2 runs batted in over the series.

Drake Amedee RHP / Brother Martin, LA / 2026

The LSU-Eunice recruit tossed a 6 inning no-hitter last weekend for the Crusaders with 6 strikeouts.

Jack Lee RHP / Alexandria, LA / 2027

The former Future Gamer and LSU commit tossed a complete-game shutout last weekend against Captain Shreve with 10 strikeouts. 

Clayton Doyal RHP / Alexandria, LA / 2026

Doyal tossed a complete-game one-hit shutout with 5 strikeouts for the Trojans last weekend, as they swept Captain Shreve to move on to the quarterfinals. 

Joel Morange 1B / Rummel, LA / 2026

Morange went a perfect 6-for-6 (1.000) at the plate last weekend with 2 runs batted in and 2 runs scored. 

Cayden Dartez LHP / OF / St. Thomas More, LA / 2026

Dartez tossed 7 innings and allowed 0 earned runs with 9 strikeouts in Game 1 vs. Lafayette and also went 2-for-3 at the plate with the game-winning single in the bottom of the 9th. 

Connor Micheu SS / John Curtis Christian, LA / 2026

The Southeastern Louisiana recruit went 4-for-7 with a triple, 5 runs batted in, and 2 runs scored last week. 

Nate Alario OF / John Curtis Christian, LA / 2026

The former Senior Future Gamer and LSU-Eunice recruit went 3-for-8 with a home run, double, 2 runs batted in, 6 runs scored, and also swiped 5 bases last weekend vs. Evangel Christian. 

Paul Dufrene RHP / 3B / John Curtis Christian, LA / 2028

Dufrene went 4-for-6 with 2 home runs, 6 runs batted in, and 5 runs socred in the Patriots regional round series win over Evangel Christian. 

Brennan Jeansonne Jesuit, LA / 2026

Jeansonne went 4-for-7 with a triple, 5 runs batted in, and 3 runs scored for the Blue Jays last weekend. 

Dominic Pellegrin SS / Holy Cross, LA / 2026

The Tulane recruit went 2-for-5 (.400) with a home run, 2 runs batted in, 2 runs scored, and 2 stolen bases last weekend to help lead Holy Cross to the sweep of Acadiana. 

Gregory Ruiz III OF / SS / Holy Cross, LA / 2027

The uncommitted junior got the Game 2 win on the mound vs. Acadiana last weekend. Ruiz III also went 3-for-7 at the plate with 2 runs batted in and 2 walks. 

Lucas Lawrence LHP / Catholic BR, LA / 2026

The former Future Gamer and Ole Miss recruit threw 5 shutout innings with 3 strikeouts to earn the Game 1 win over St. Augustine last weekend.

Harrison Kidder OF / Catholic BR, LA / 2026

The Louisiana-Lafayette football recruit went 4-for-6 with 2 doubles, a triple, 4 runs batted in, and 3 runs scored in the Bears series sweep over St. Augustine.

Aubrey St. Angelo 3B / RHP / Brusly, LA / 2026

The former Future Gamer and Nicholls State recruit tossed a complete-game one-hit shutout with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts in Game 1 for the Panthers.

Spencer Guilbeau OF / RHP / Vandebilt Catholic, LA / 2026

The Nunez Community College recruit went 3-for-4 (.750) with a home run, 2 doubles, 4 runs batted in, and 3 runs scored last weekend.

Alex Warthen RHP / 1B / St. Michael's, LA / 2027

Warthen was the winning pitcher in Game 1 and Game 3 for St. Michael's in their series win over Buckeye. He also went 4-for-13 over the series with a home run, double, and 5 runs batted in

Devyn Downs RHP / 3B / Sterlington, LA / 2027

The LSU commit threw a 5 inning perfect game last weekend for the Panthers in their regional round series win over Vidalia. Downs also went 3-for-6 (.500) with 3 doubles and 4 runs batted in.

Miller Sheets SS / Sterlington, LA / 2026

The former Future Gamer and Baylor recruit went 4-for-7 with 3 doubles, 4 runs batted in, and 3 runs scored last week for the Panthers.

Bryce Waguespack LHP / St. Charles Catholic, LA / 2027

The Northwestern State commit tossed a complete-game two-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts last weekend for the Comets.

Jed Henry RHP / SS / South Beauregard, LA / 2026

Henry was thee winning pitcher in Game 2 and 3 last weekend, after allowing 0 earned runs across 8.2 innings pitched. He also collected 6 hits at the plate over the three games.

Logan Sorrel RHP / Parkview Baptist, LA / 2026

The former Future Gamer and Kentucky recruit threw 7.1 innings allowed only 1 hit and 0 earned runs with a whopping 17 strikeouts against Pope John Paul last weekend.

Jake Wooten LHP / Parkview Baptist, LA / 2027

The former Future Gamer and Southern Miss commit for the Game 2 win for the Eagles last weekend after tossing 6 shutout innings with 12 strikeouts.

Drew LeJeune RHP / SS / Notre Dame, LA / 2026

The LSU-Eunice recruit earned the Game 2 upset win over St. Louis Catholic after tossing a complete-game and allowing only 2 earned runs. LeJeune also went 4-for-6 at the plate with 2 home runs, a double, and 4 runs batted in.

Christian Sauska RHP / 3B / Isidore Newman, LA / 2026

The former Future Gamer earned the Game 2 win last weekend with a complete-game one-hit shutout and 9 strikeouts. Sauska also went 2-for-5 at the plate with a home run and 3 runs batted in.
