2026 MSHSAA Team Rankings: Week 6

Prep Baseball Missouri Staff

The Missouri high school baseball kicks off on March 19th, opening day for regular season action under MSHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we published our team previews ahead of the 2026 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Missouri Preseason Team Rankings.

Our rankings are broken up into two divisions: large school and small schools. We classify the 'large' schools as those residing in Class 5 & 6, while the small schools make up the remaining MSHSAA classifications. We rank what we believe to be the top teams in the state at that level, as well as highlighting several 'On Deck' teams.

Below you will find our week five team rankings for the 2026 season for Large Schools and Small Schools.

2026 Prep Baseball Missouri Large School Rankings - Week 6

This week’s update shows relatively little movement as a dominant team has yet to emerge from the pack.

The top three features a slight shakeup as Liberty jumps over rival Liberty North for the No. 2 spot. Willard also makes a move into the top five, while Jackson slides back three spots to No. 8 following a 1-3 week.

The bottom half of the rankings experienced the most volatility. Rock Bridge climbed two spots to No. 10 after capping off a perfect 4-0 week with a signature win over No. 7 Francis Howell. Consequently, Eureka fell back two spots to No. 12. Webb City moved up two positions to No. 13, while Oakville rounded out the rankings at No. 15.

Wedged between them is our lone newcomer and arguably the hottest team in the state: Staley. After experiencing some early growing pains with a roster largely rebuilt following graduation, the Falcons have ripped off eight consecutive wins. During that span, they captured the Columbia Tournament title and secured victories over No. 7 Francis Howell (twice), No. 5 Willard, Small School No. 7 Blair Oaks, and No. 3 Liberty North. With a win over No. 1 Blue Springs South already on their resume, Staley enters the rankings at No. 14.

2026 Prep Baseball Missouri Small School Rankings - Week 6

No new faces enter the mix ahead of week six as the small No new faces enter the mix ahead of week six, as the Small School rankings have proven to be the most consistent of our two groups. Logan-Rogersville continues to roll at No. 1, adding another signature win to their resume by handling No. 5 Duchesne 12-4 on Saturday.

Excelsior Springs moves up one spot to No. 3, followed by fellow Kansas City-area program Harrisonville at No. 4, which continues to dominate the competition en route to an impressive 17-1 record. Centralia makes the biggest jump of the week, climbing to No. 6 after defeating No. 8 Moberly and going 3-0 at the Boonville Wood Bat Tournament with victories over Boonville, Kirksville, and Knob Noster.

Meanwhile, Blair Oaks slides to No. 7 as they navigate a rough patch amidst what is arguably the toughest small-school schedule in the state.
