2026 OSSAA Power 25: Week Seven

Bret Schwartz
Oklahoma Scouting Director

We update the Power 25 after a big week of games that included an update in the district standings in addition to games later in the week.  This update features a few small changes due to results on the field. Further, we see some teams continuing to get healthy with optimism in the upcoming weeks. All scores and records are from the OSSAA Rankings page or Gamechanger.

Yukon is our new #1 team in the Power 25 following a district sweep of Edmond Memorial. The Millers are a perfect 8-0 in 6A-1 with a monster series against Mustang this week. The Millers have put together as consistent a resume as you'll find, winning with pitching and defense, and still finding ways to win both low scoring games as well as high scoring games with depth emerging throughout the lineup. At #2 is Newcastle, improving to 19-2 on the season and a 4-0 week. The Racers have shown the ability to come from behind as evidenced this week as they scored three runs in the last inning to walk off OKC Bronchos 10-9. The come-from-behind ability will be important should the situation arise in the postseason. At #3 is Tuttle, as the Tigers boast one of the most talented rosters in the region. At 21-4 on the season, they continue to get more healthy and find themselves on the short list of favorites in 4A. Stillwater remains at #4, following a split with Jenks and win over Elgin later in the week. The Pioneers are 14-3 on the season with depth throughout the lineup that has seen numerous players step up in big moments. Finally, Elgin rounds out our Top 5 as the Owls sit at 22-2 on the season and a big district sweep over CCS last week. They have experience throughout the roster and showcase one of the most physical lineups in the state - regardless of class.

Jenks is once again amongst our biggest risers as they move up to 6 in our latest installment. The Trojans split with Stillwater, with each team winning on the road, and have put together one of the most consistent and solid resumes in the state that included a 1-0 win over Moore to finish the week. At 17-4, they have shown the ability to consistently execute offensively and will be a tough out in May. Mustang is another big riser as they move up to #10 on the back of a 5-0 week that saw their record improve to 23-4. They have a lineup that is littered with experience from top to bottom along with underclassmen that have produced in big moments. The ability to score runs in bunches as well as play disciplined on both sides of the ball have Mustang at 7-1 in 6A-1 and a massive series with Yukon this week.

Breaking into our Power 25 is Deer Creek as they check in at #23. The Antlers improved to 15-7 on the season with a district sweep pushed their record to 7-1 in 6A-4 with a massive series with Bixby this week. They continue to get production from all parts of the lineup with experience at the top and have scored 7 or more runs in six straight games. Further, the ability to defend at a high level around the diamond has made them a tough team to beat. Joining Deer Creek in our Power 25 is Pryor. The Tigers are 21-2 on the season, 3-0 last week, and winners of 12 in a row. Led by experience at the top, they have scored runs in bunches and shown the ability to win close games as well. Pryor opens up a massive series in 5A-3 as they meet Claremore this evening, leading the Zebras by a game.
