Today we release a late winter/early spring update to the 2027 class, our first update of the calendar year. This update has the class expanding from the Top 175 to the Top 200. While the majority of the top tier of this class remains unchanged, there has been considerable movement in the middle and few guys have shown some tools that have made an impact on our staff. This update highlights some players that we have seen in a variety of settings early on this year, including events, scrimmages, and gameplay. Below we take a look at some of those players that have made jumps, are new faces, or look primed for a big year in 2026.

2027 Rankings Update

+ Colt Bradshaw - IF - Cape Henry Collegiate

The new face at Cape Henry Collegiate is no stranger to the upper tier of the rankings, nor is he a stranger to the spotlight. Our staff got a chance to see the high energy middle infielder this winter at the Preseason All-State Beach. There was much that remained the same, his infectious personality, enjoyment of competing and playing the game, as well as his toolset that he brings with him to the game. One thing that we noticed is his actions were so much more under control, like he was not chasing a number or a status, he was just simply performing. Quick hands in the infield, clean exchanges, athletic, explosive, and packs a punch at the plate, especially for a smaller framed infielder. The top uncommitted infielder ran up some impressive numbers during BP, with a 104.2 mph Max EV, 73.8 mph Average Bat Speed, and a 1.59 10-Yard Split. Most importantly, he is transferring what we all know has been there, into the game. As of 3/17, through seven games, Bradshaw is hitting .733, has three doubles, two homeruns, sixteen RBI, and a 8:1 K/BB ratio. While this will almost certainly come down from riding on cloud nine to start the year, his strong start shows some of the strides he has made at the plate.

Large frame with proportional strength throughout. Some of the loudest and most impactful BP we saw all winter. Balance, repeatability, length out front, and an operation that plays in game. Thought he stayed connected well and maintained good posture throughout the swing. Knight has shown up in games in a variety of ways (on the mound and at the plate), but his continuous physical maturity and added strength should make its biggest indicator of growth at the plate this spring. The Rutgers commit could be a serious helium guy coming out of the spring and into the summer.

+ Declan Schnabel - 1B - Gonzaga College HS

Undoubtedly some of the best raw power in the class. Schnabel makes a move up in the rankings more than a dozen spots after a strong showing at Preseason All-State NOVA and with a one game look two weeks ago. Above average athleticism for his strength and frame, but he will need to show the ability to get to it in game more frequently if he should continue to ascend up the rankings.

+ Reid Hydock - SS - Independence HS

One of our first looks of the talented and athletic uncommitted Indy product. Long and thinner frame, loose arm, arm strength to stay on the left side, and quick tight turns at the plate. While he stood out in multiple facets, the defensive round was impressive. Hands work with a quick gather, short fast arm, and moves well laterally. At the plate it was a little more pull side dominant, line drives and doubles, and legitimate hand and bat speed. On the mound he really gets it going forward. The arm is quick enough to catch up and there is intent and effort to the delivery. While Hydock does offer some versatility as a two-way, with this early look, we would lean positional over arm due to his ability to defend and his athleticism that he brings to the table. Will certainly be one to follow this spring.

+ Alex Kamprowski - RHP - Battlefield HS

With a very limited track record prior to this fall, Kamprowski is a new face to the rankings after some strong showings this winter/early spring. Pace and intent to the delivery, fast arm and can really get it turned when he gets going forward. During the indoor workout he was up to 91 and in an early season scrimmage was 87-89 mph with the fastball. While he does work with some effort in the delivery, he maintains his intent and arm speed on the upper 70's slider that plays extremely well off of the fastball. The makeup, delivery, and stuff lean more reliever, but this is an arm that could continue to make some velo gains and showing his ability to compete with a third pitch will only add to his value.

Listed at 6-foot-1, 175-pounds with proportional strength and some projection remaining. Worked primarily from a stretch position, deeper hand break and arm swing, and works from a three-quarter slot. This winter he sat 87-88 mph with the fastball that offers more carry than run. The breaking ball is softer at 69-71 mph and will need to firm up to be a legitimate pitch at the next level. The changeup is firm, kills spin extremely well, and has an above average feel for that pitch. The changeup is arguably his second best pitch. Will have a chance to cement his name as one of the top uncommitted 2027 arms in the state this spring.

+ Zach Tew - RHP - Greenbrier Christian Academy

It seems like every time we see Tew, he makes some sort of jump. Whether it be in the velo and stuff department, or improvements in the pitchability department, Tew is headed in the right direction, hence his rise of nearly twenty places in the rankings. Swings closed at the top of his delivery and offers some deception. Full arm swing with above average arm speed and works from a near over the top slot. The fastball has been up to 89-91 mph as of two weeks ago and he showed the ability to land a bigger shaped low-mid 70's breaking ball. The Gators could be searching for that frontline arm this spring and Tew could be the guy to take that spot.

+ Austin Uzzle - RHP/3B - New Kent HS

On the younger side for this class. Uzzle will not be 17 until post high school season. A more compact frame that is athletic in its makeup. Certainly some intrigue on both sides of the ball so to speak, bringing a more compact path at the plate with some impact to the ball, and some sneaky arm strength on the mound, getting up to 89 mph. The delivery is slower in pace and builds up some late intent and arm speed. Certainly some tools that have a chance to carry at the next level and he will be one to follow this spring on a talented New Kent team to see where he fits in and how his tools play in game. Uzzle makes a move up more than thirty spots into the Top 75.

Compact 5-foot-8 frame. Medium length path, showed an accurate barrel, and some sneaky impact to the middle and pull. Miller has above average hand speed at the plate and does not get cheated. Active defender that has some versatility defensively, but may be more suited long term at 3B/2B more so than SS. Regardless of where he ends up defensively, Miller's offense brings value to his profile. With all of the loss from last season's FC team, he could carve out a major role in the program and prove his ability to hit at the varsity level and beyond.
