2026 SEASON OUTLOOK

No. of Returning Position Players: 4
No. of Returning Pitchers: 3

Top Returners:

  • Kyle Julian (2026) - RHP/INF, 6'1 150, R/R
    • Kyle played infield, outfield and pitched for us last season. Kyle moved around from lead-off to 9 hole in the lineup and is a good contact hitter who rarely strikes out. Kyle is an athletic player who handles the bat well and has plus speed. He is an athletic defender that can play multiple positions. He will be counted on to be a top arm on the mound for us, and be able to play multiple defensive positions.
  • Brady Yates (2027) - 3B/RHP, 6'1 175, R/R
    • Missouri State commit
    • Brady will be counted on to be an offensive leader for us and hit in the middle of the lineup. Brady can play a left-side defensive position, but will most likely be at 3rd base. He is one of the most talented players in the state.
  • Reed Jackson (2026) - 1B/DH, 5'11 230, R/R
    • Oklahoma Wesleyan commit
    • Reed will be competing for the job at 1B, as well as 3B if Brady is playing another position. Reed swings the bat well, has good contact skills, and shows power occasionally.
  • Charlie Habel (2027) - RHP/INF, 6'4 180, R/R
    • Charlie will be counted on to be a top arm for us on the mound as well as play a middle infield spot. He is an athletic player that can hit anywhere from the lead-off spot, to 9 hole. He is a great competitor, that loves to play the game and has fun playing.
  • Maddux Denning (2026) - RHP/OF, 6'4 175, R/R
    • Maddux will be counted on to be one of our top pitchers. He had a strong 2025 spring, and we feel like he is ready to take the next step. He has a tall frame, and uses that to his advantage on the mound. He mixes pitches well, and throws any pitch in any count.
  • Beau West (2027) - RHP/INF, 5'11 160, R/R
    • Beau is another player that can play multiple positions. He will be in the mix on the mound as well. Beau can handle the bat well, and is comfortable hitting anywhere in the lineup. He has plus speed and is always a threat on the bases.

  • Kaden Tuhey (2028) - LHP/1B/OF, 6’2 185
    • Kaden is a physical player, and can play several different positions. Kaden will compete for the 1B job and look to get some innings on the mound.
  • Walker Ransdell (2026) - OF, 6’0 175
    • Walker brings very good athleticism and will compete for an outfield position. He swings the bat well and showed several good attributes during fall ball.

    • Clay is a solid player all the way around. He hits for average and can play small ball well. He has a strong baseball IQ, and showed a lot of promise this fall. He will compete for an infield spot at the varsity level.
  • Asher Lee (2026) - 5’10 170
    • Asher will compete for innings on the mound at the varsity level. When he is isn’t pitching, he will look at add some innings on the infield. He swings the bat well and could be a contributor somewhere in the middle of the lineup.

Key Players Lost:

Coach’s Insight: “The returning players and newcomers are excited to get this season underway. They are relishing the underdog role, as many people seem to not have very high expectations for us. We graduated the majority of our offensive production last year and several of our top arms. That being said, this group is hungry to prove people wrong. We have several newcomers that we think will compete for starting jobs, and that looks to make practices and scrimmages competitive. We will have a couple of guys that can hit for power, as well as some guys that can play the small ball game and run. It should be a pretty dynamic lineup. We have been working hard this off-season and this group has been really coachable. The COC is the toughest conference in the state, and we will have to be solid fundamentally and highly skilled to compete week in and week out in the conference. We have a tough non-conference schedule again this year that will battle test us and get us ready for post-season play. This group is hungry to prove themselves and leave their mark on Glendale Baseball. We will have a lot of newcomers to the varsity lineup. These guys are really good athletes and know the game, but they are largely unproven at the varsity level. How fast we can adjust and get comfortable with the level of varsity baseball will determine how successful we will be.” – Jim Julian, head coach
