2027 RHP Samir Mohammed, Jesuit (FL), LSU recruit

Mohammed delivered a dominant performance on the mound Friday night, showing exactly why he is regarded as one of the premier arms in the entire 2027 class. The LSU recruit boasts an incredibly imposing, physical outlier frame at 6-foot-5, 250 pounds. He operated with elite efficiency and high-end polish throughout his outing, tossing six shutout innings while surrendering just one hit and one walk. He overwhelmed opposing hitters all night, racking up 12 strikeouts and posting a staggering 74% strikeout rate. His power arsenal was electric, headlined by a heavy sinker that sat 93-96+ mph with impressive spin (2341 RPM). Mohammed tunneled his secondary offerings off the fastball, featuring a sharp 86-87 mph cutter (2280 RPM) and a wipeout 81-83 mph slider (2443 RPM) to continuously miss barrels. He also flashed an 81 mph splitter (1800 RPM) to round out a massive four-pitch mix. With his sheer size, premium velocity, and highly advanced stuff, Mohammed continues to solidify himself as an ultra-physical workhorse and top-tier pitching prospect in the country.

2026 RHP/C Cole Dennis, Bishop Snyder (FL), Jacksonville recruit

Dennis is a major stock-up candidate this spring, and he proved exactly why during his latest start by overpowering the opposition. The Jacksonville recruit has a 6-foot-4, 220-pound workhorse frame. In his seven innings of work, he surrendered just three hits and two runs while walking only one batter and racking up 10 strikeouts. His premium arsenal was spearheaded by a truly explosive fastball that sat 92-96+ mph with high-end spin (2506 RPM). He pounded the zone relentlessly with the heater, blowing it past hitters to generate a staggering 16 whiffs on that pitch alone. He complemented the premium heat with a sharp 79-83 mph curveball (2480 RPM) and a fading 82-83 mph changeup (1301 RPM) to keep the lineup off balance. Dennis continues to rapidly raise his stock in the Florida 2026 class.

2026 RHP Donovan Thiery, Key West (FL), Florida State recruit

Thiery has been on a rapid rise this spring. The Florida State has a highly projectable 6-foot-5, 210-pound frame. He tossed 5.2 scoreless innings, scattering just three hits and navigating four walks to rack up 11 strikeouts. His ability to miss bats was on full display, generating a staggering 23 total whiffs and a massive 53% whiff rate while landing 63% of his pitches for strikes. The loud four-pitch mix is anchored by a power fastball that sat 92-95 mph (2290 RPM). He pairs the premium heater well with his secondary offerings, effectively tunneling a sharp 86-88 mph cutter (2106 RPM) alongside a wipeout 79-84 mph slider that showcased depth (2276 RPM) to continuously induce empty swings. To round out the arsenal, Thiery also flashed a firm 83 mph changeup (1527 RPM) to keep opposing hitters off-balance. He continues to elevate his stock as one of the premier right-handers in the Florida 2026 class.
