KEY WEEK 1 TEAM UPDATES

Bishop Gorman (#1): The Gaels went 3-1 during the opening week. They secured a pivotal 3-2 victory over preseason #1 Basic Academy and demonstrated offensive power with a 12-2 win over Shadow Ridge.

Basic Academy (#2): The Wolves finished the week 1-1. Despite a narrow 3-2 loss to Bishop Gorman, they showcased their elite status by defeating national powerhouse Orange Lutheran earlier in the week.

Faith Lutheran (#3): The Crusaders posted a 2-0 record for the week. They capped off the week with a dominant 12-2 win over Silverado and earned a hard-fought road victory against Green Valley.

Centennial (#4): Centennial put together a productive week, moving to 8-3 overall. They displayed offensive fireworks with a 15-2 blowout of SECTA and closed the week with an 11-1 win over Sierra Vista.

Arbor View (#5): The week's biggest riser (+3) maintained a stellar 9-2 record. They showcased remarkable consistency by winning their last two games with an average of 9.5 runs, including a 10-6 victory over Palo Verde.

Palo Verde (#6): The Panthers moved to 6-1 on the season. Before their first loss on Saturday, they displayed dominance by averaging only 3.86 runs allowed per game and secured an 8-4 win over Coronado.

Foothill (#7) - NEW: The Falcons enter the Top 10 with a 7-2 record. They impressed in their home opener with a 12-1 win over West Valley and secured a statement 5-2 victory over preseason #4 Reno.

Reno (#8): Reno opened their season with a tough loss to #7 Foothill, then bounced back with a pair of run rule wins to finish thier opening weekend at 2-1. Relentless offensive pressure got the Huskies back on track quickly and you can expect them to make thier case to move back up in the rankings in the coming weeks.

Bishop Manogue (#9): The Miners finished the week 2-0, moving to 3-3 overall. This is a group that could be very dangerous if the bats heat up, and they seem to be doing just that as they put up 25 runs over their last two games.

Green Valley (#10) - NEW: The Gators debut in the Top 10 with a 4-2 record, with both losses coming from close games against two teams ranked in the Top 5. They showcased a high-powered offense with a 9-4 win over Durango, recording 12 hits and six extra-base hits in the victory.
