2026 Prep Baseball Dakotas Preseason ID-South Dakota: Event Preview
February 19, 2026
SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA - On Saturday, February 21, Prep Baseball Dakotas travels to the Sioux Falls Sports Dome to host the Preseason ID-South Dakota. This event will feature over 80 prospects from the class of 2026 through 2029. This collection of players will include plenty of fresh faces, along with returning faces to the Prep Baseball ecosystem.
We are pumped to kick off 2026 with the biggest preseason event in the state of South Dakota. This event serves as a gateway to invite-only events like the Dakota State Games, and national events like the Prep Baseball Future Games.
EVENT HISTORY
Last years event brought 85 players to the Sioux Falls Sports Dome in Sioux Falls, and had multiple standout performances among the attendees.
+ Dell Rapid's Drake Eastman brought some spunk on the mound in his short drive down I-29. The future Iowa Western Reiver brought a blistering upper 80s-fastball that maxed out at 89.5. Eastman threw his curveball well, getting his spin rate up to 2,896 RPM. His performance propeled him into the high school season where he maintained his velocity, touching 88 at the Border Battle in April.

Ran the fastball up to 89.5 MPH and featured a breaking ball with 2800 RPM. Good arm speed and fade on the change. @PB_Uncommitted @DrakeEastman5 | #SoDakID pic.twitter.com/2EtQ7Er4Hy
+ Brandon Valley's Grady Gindorff had himeself a solid performance at the Sioux Falls Sports Dome in 2025. Gindorff ripped off a 6.80 60 yard dash, and punished baseballs during his BP session. After exhibiting a plus run and hit tool, Gindorff committed to Concordia University in Nebraska, one of the top NAIA program in the region.
Senior @gradygindorff showed out at the Preseason ID-South Dakota in 2025 and displayed no shortage athleticism, helping land him a commitment to @cunebaseball.

+ Colin Lunders out of Sioux Falls Lincoln led all participants in 2025 with a max exit velocity of 100.1. The power potential led Lunders to commit to his hometown school in the University of Sioux Falls, where he will look to continue to hit seeds for the Cougars.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
+ Kade Wede out of Harrisburg has been a consistant high performer in the last 2 1/2 years. Wede expressed pitchability at the 2025 Future Games, throwing 4 legit offereings consistantly in the strike zone. The Junior appears to have been taking strides with his development this winter, will be a bullpen to watch on Saturday.
+ Jack Tooke, another Future Games Alum will be in attendance in Sioux Falls. The 2-way from Mandan, North Dakota, has ran his fastball up to 90, as he pummeled baseball 95+ in multiple showings at our events. Don't be supprised if Tooke produces a loud showing. Uncommitted 2027 graduate.
+ Tucker Waddell from Rapid City Stevens has been trending up. Waddell has gotten his fastball up to the mid-80s, producing loud noises off the barrel. The Super Sophomore Games alum is a name to know going into this spring and summer seasons.
