We continue our spring high school previews and projections with a look at 15 "Picks to Click" as we inch closer to the 2026 baseball season. Highlighted in these stories are players that we believe are in contention for "Player of the Year" or "Pitcher of the Year" and we will give a detailed analysis, including video on each. Without further ado, the next player we would like to highlight is Chipola College commit Landon Daniel from Stephen Decatur.

Landon Daniel C / 1B / Stephen Decatur, MD / 2026

One of the purest hitters this state has to offer, the Chipola College commit has been on our radar his entire high school career, and if the trend continues, look for a huge senior season to culminate all of the success.

A relaxed, yet explosive operation from the left side, Daniel possesses a really nice balance of barrel control and added power that syncs up with a high average ability at the dish. The ability to spray line drives to all fields is up there with the best of them in the state, and the power continues to garner attention over the past few months. This is a hit tool that college coaches dream of, and should be an instant impact guy at the next level.
