Gavin Greene, C, 2028, Blessed Trinity
The strong looks at Greene continue to stack up as he has consistently performed over the years with more of the same continuing the Spring. Showed extremely well out of the 3-hole as he collected 3-hits on the day as he worked backside with ease. Boasts strength throughout the physical, broad-shouldered 5-foot-10 frame and immense feel to hit. Easy rhythm in the box and utilizes a toe-tap load to create excellent separation and stays balanced through impact. Loose wrists stand out in a compact stroke with present bat speed and above-average feel for the barrel in a linear path. Plus makeup behind the dish with advanced receiving and ability to handle premium velocity on a nightly basis. Present athleticism in the crouch with arm strength alike and strong blocking as well. Big-league bloodlines and has been a model of consistency while offering loud tools on both sides of the ball. Must know name come August 1st.
Joseph Contreras, RHP, 2026, Blessed Trinity
Vanderbilt commit. Almost two weeks removed from pitching against team USA in the World Baseball Classic where Contreras garnered significant national spotlight as the youngest player to ever compete in the event at 17-years old. The senior returned home and was dominant in his start yesterday afternoon to say the least. Went 5.0 no-hit innings-pitched with 9 strikeouts en route to a run-rule victory. Physical, high-waisted 6-foot-4, 195-pound frame and exudes excellent body control with ability to repeat the delivery well, and creates excellent extension down the mound. Low-effort look with significant arm speed and works from a higher slot. Possesses a bulldog mentality on the bump with immense pitchability and feel for a deep five pitch mix. Lived in the mid-to-upper 90’s at 95-98 (T99 MPH) with some cut and ride action. Mixed in a two-seam look as well at 91-93 with sink. Sharp slider with tight action at 87-89 and kept hitters off balance. Forkball is extremely tough to pick up out of the hands and was a weapon to both RHH and LHH as it tunnels extremely well off the fastball. Falls off the table at 77-79 and flashes plus. Changeup was mixed into LHH with depth and tumble for whiffs at 82-84. The stock for Contreras continues to trend up with still plenty more to tap into and big-league bloodlines that only strengthen the profile.
Cole James, 1B, 2026, Blessed Trinity
The Pellissippi State CC commit provided really good swings throughout as he was a significant contributor in the win. Obvious physicality in the box at 6-foot-5, 230-pounds with present feel to hit as well. Worked the middle of the field as he went 2-for-2 at the plate. With an RBI single up-the-middle to open the scoring for the Titans, along with another single back into CF, and a sacrifice fly later in the game to tack on an insurance run. Stays simple with good balance and transfers weight well through impact. Creates excellent barrel length with fluidity through the zone and lets the hands work. The senior really slows the game down in the box and looks to hit early in the count as he looks poised to be a key piece in the heart of the Titans offense throughout the Spring.
Quinn Davis, OF, 2026, Blessed Trinity
The Blessed Trinity outfielder was a key piece in their title run a year ago. Remains uncommitted and offers a quality floor profile on both sides of the ball. Present athleticism in the athletic 6-foot-0, 175-pound frame with strength to project. Davis came through with some of the biggest swings of the game in clutch spots. Hard-hit pull-side RBI extra-base hit early and added a 2 RBI backside single later in the game as well. Well-balanced with a slight leg lift load to stay on time in a quick trigger. Direct hands and does a great job of moving the barrel around to find consistent contact throughout the zone in an all-fields approach. Excellent range and instincts with present above-average foot speed and tools to stick long term in CF. Davis would be a strong addition to a multitude of recruiting classes across different levels.
