NOTABLE RECAPS FROM WEDNESDAY

#12 Skyridge (6) vs. #25 Wasatch (4)

The Skyridge Falcons secured a hard-fought 6–4 victory over the Wasatch Wasps in Game 1 of their three-game series, powered by consistent offensive production and a steady outing from the mound. Ripken Roberts led the charge with a dynamic three-hit performance, scoring twice and swiping two bags, while Luke Robley and Brady Lowe provided the necessary punch with two hits and two RBIs apiece. On the bump, Tate Young was clinical, navigating six strong innings to earn the win before Robley stepped in to close the door in the seventh. Wasatch remained a constant threat throughout the afternoon, fueled by a multi-hit effort and three RBIs from Royal Matthews and a sharp triple from Jack Salmon. Despite a resilient complete-game effort from Eddie Bluth, who struck out four for the Wasps, the Falcons' ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities and their aggression on the basepaths proved to be the difference. The series is set to pick up again today as Wasatch looks to even the score on their home turf.

Top Performers

Union (8) vs. Springville (9)

The Springville Red Devils orchestrated a stunning late-inning comeback to edge out the Union Cougars in a high-scoring 9–8 thriller. Ryder Lyman delivered the game’s biggest blow, launching a towering home run and finishing with a game-high four RBIs to lead the Red Devils' charge. Supporting the effort, Bridger Frischknecht was nearly perfect at the plate with three hits, including a double, while Kyler Hughes and Kasen Torres provided crucial situational hitting with two RBIs apiece. Union appeared to be in control early behind a double-digit hit parade led by Tyson Marx, who drove in three runs, and multi-hit performances from Gannon Labrum, Dylan Watahomigie, and Brennen Mecham. On the mound, Union's Ryan Oakey was dominant through the middle frames, racking up an impressive 10 strikeouts, but the Red Devils' relentless pressure in the final frames allowed Lyman to earn the win in relief. This back-and-forth battle served as Game 1 of their series, which is set to continue today as the Cougars look to regroup and even the score.

Top Performers

Box Elder (6) vs. Fremont (5)

The Box Elder Bees outlasted the Fremont Silverwolves in a bizarre, high-stakes Game 1 of their three-game series, securing a 6–5 victory despite being nearly hitless for much of the afternoon. In a contest defined by defensive lapses and opportunistic baserunning, Bosten Steacie provided the necessary stability on the mound, fanning eight batters over five innings while allowing just a single hit. Box Elder’s offense capitalized on five Fremont errors and several early walks, with Korbin Jeppesen providing the biggest spark with two hits, including a triple. Porter Francom chipped in with a run-scoring double to help the Bees build a lead that they would narrowly protect until the final out. For Fremont, Ashur Clark provided the Silverwolves' lone hit—a crucial two-RBI knock—but it wasn't quite enough to overcome the early deficit. Mitchell Bennett stepped onto the bump for the final two frames, tossing two perfect innings of relief to slam the door and give the Bees the series lead heading into the second matchup later today.

#23 Bingham (4) vs. Copper Hills (0)

NO HITTER ALERT🚨 The Bingham Miners authored a defensive masterpiece against Copper Hills, etching their names into the record books with a combined no-hitter to secure a clinical 4–0 victory. Crew Dredge was the catalyst for the Miners, delivering six hitless frames while racking up seven strikeouts before handing the ball to Caden Hansen, who provided a flawless final inning to complete the rare feat. While the arms dominated the afternoon, the Bingham offense provided the necessary support through well-timed extra-base hits from Porter Larsen and Cain Stoker. Jaxon Sisam and XPaxton Larsen were equally effective in situational spots, each driving in a run to keep the pressure on the Grizzlies. Despite a valiant effort on the mound from Copper Hills starter Kooper Beebe, who struck out eight over six innings, the Grizzlies were unable to solve the Bingham pitching staff in a game defined by absolute command on the bump.
