The 2027 Arkansas high school baseball season is just getting underway, and with a full slate of preseason events now complete, the Prep Baseball Arkansas staff has made one final update to the Natural State’s 2027 rankings before the Juniors take the field in the spring.

We have a modest update following our preseason showcase season, but there have been minor and a couple of major changes throughout the rankings following some standout performances at our offseason events. 

Below, we take a deeper dive into this update, highlighting the top of the rankings while also providing a broader look at the class as a whole, including newcomers and names on the rise. Read on for the full breakdown.

Nathan Wanamaker RHP / 1B / Conway, AR / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 6 / POS: 1 Wanamaker makes a jump into the top 10 after his performance at the Arkansas Preseason All-State Event. Over the past year, this tall righty has made some impressive jumps and is constantly progressing his game on the mound. His most recent jump that we see is hitting a top fastball velocity of 91 MPH. Look for Wanamaker to continue to make strides as we get into the coming 2026 spring season making himself a formidable talent in the 2027 class.

Rogan Tyler C / 3B / Brookland, AR / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 10 / POS: 3 Tyler has made a remarkable jump into the top ten rankings, showcasing exceptional speed that sets them apart as a catcher. Their elite agility not only enhances defensive capabilities—allowing for quick throws to bases—but also adds offensive value through the potential for stolen bases and scoring from second on singles. Coupled with a smooth swing that promotes consistent contact and power, this player is a formidable asset at the plate. Continued development in game management will further elevate their performance, positioning them as a standout player with great future potential.
