+ JACKSON PREP VS HARTFIELD ACADEMY

Hartfield Academy pulled away early and never looked back in a 5-1 win over Jackson Prep on Thursday. After Jackson Prep struck first in the second inning, Hartfield answered immediately with two runs in the bottom half to take the lead for good. The Hawks added two more in the third to create separation. Flynn was dominant on the mound, tossing five innings while allowing just two hits and one run, striking out nine to earn the win. Shimfessel paced the offense with a 2-for-3 day and two RBI's, while the Hawks applied pressure on the bases with four stolen bags and played a clean game defensively. Jackson Prep managed just two hits in the contest, with Roberts driving in their lone run.

+ STARKVILLE ACADEMY VS PILLOW ACADEMY

Starkville Academy secured a 4-0 shutout win over Pillow Academy on Thursday behind a strong combined effort on the mound. Burkley set the tone with five scoreless innings, allowing just two hits, before Northcutt closed it out with two shutout frames in relief. The Volunteers broke things open in the fourth inning when Little delivered a two-run triple, finishing 2-for-3 to lead the offense. Pillow Academy was limited to three hits on the day, while Starkville Academy capitalized on its opportunities to take control.

+ VARDAMAN VS EAST WEBSTER

East Webster held on for a wild 7-6 win over Vardaman on Thursday in a game that featured multiple momentum swings. The Wolverines jumped out early with a four-run first inning, but Vardaman stormed back in the sixth, scoring five runs to briefly take a 6-5 lead. East Webster answered in the bottom half, reclaiming the lead with two runs to secure the win. McHann led the offense with a 3-for-4 performance, while the Wolverines racked up nine hits, six walks, and an aggressive nine stolen bases. On the mound, McHann tossed four innings of one-run ball, and Bigham delivered key relief to help seal it late. Vardaman showed patience at the plate with nine walks and took advantage of opportunities, but was limited to just two hits in the loss.

+ NORTHEAST JONES VS EAST CENTRAL

East Central picked up a 4-2 win over Northeast Jones on Thursday behind a dominant outing from Bonfiglio. The right-hander struck out 10 over six innings, allowing just four hits and two runs. After falling behind early, East Central answered quickly and then took control for good in the fifth when Prouty delivered an RBI single. McFaul led the offense with a 2-for-3 day and two RBIs, while the Hornets stayed aggressive on the bases with four stolen bases and played clean defense behind their pitching. Northeast Jones was limited to four hits, with Aultman collecting two and Williams driving in a run.

+ HOUSTON VS JACKSON ACADEMY

Jackson Academy rolled to a 6-0 win over Houston on Thursday behind a dominant complete-game shutout from Davis. The Raiders set the tone early with a four-run first inning and never looked back. Jenkins led the offense with a 3-for-4 performance, including a solo home run, while also swiping two bases as part of a five-steal effort for the team. Houston managed just two hits in the loss, while Jackson Academy controlled the game on both the mound and the bases.
