+ FRIENDSHIP CHRISTIAN VS GOODPASTURE CHRISTIAN
Friendship Christian defeated Goodpasture Christian 6-5 on Thursday behind a big offensive night that included two home runs and five RBIs from one hitter. Friendship Christian jumped out to an early lead with a two-run homer in the first and added four more runs in the second to take control. Goodpasture responded with a late push, scoring five runs to cut the deficit to one, but couldn’t complete the comeback. Friendship Christian finished with several key hits and showed patience at the plate while also playing error-free defense to secure the win.
+ BRIGHTON VS BARTLETT
Bartlett defeated Brighton 3-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined for a shutout. Bartlett scored twice in the second inning and added another run in the third to take control of the game. The pitching staff limited Brighton to just a few hits while the offense produced timely hits and created pressure on the bases with several stolen bases. Both teams played clean defense, but Bartlett’s early scoring and strong pitching secured the win.
+ CONCORD CHRISTIAN VS KNOXVILLE CATHOLIC
Knoxville Catholic defeated Concord Christian 8-1 on Thursday, breaking the game open with a five-run first inning fueled by a key double and several productive at-bats. Knoxville Catholic added insurance later with a two-run home run and finished with 10 hits in the win. The pitching staff combined to limit Concord Christian to just a few hits while the defense played cleanly without committing an error. Concord Christian scored early but couldn’t keep pace after Knoxville Catholic’s strong start.
+ HOUSTON COUNTY VS HICKMAN COUNTY
Hickman County defeated Houston County 6-5 on Thursday in a tightly contested matchup. Houston County built an early lead in the second inning, but Hickman County responded by taking the lead with a three-run fifth inning highlighted by a key double and an RBI single. Houston County added a solo home run in the seventh but couldn’t complete the comeback. Hickman County finished with multiple hits and worked several walks, while the starting pitcher went the distance to secure the win.
+ LINCOLN COUNTY VS FRANKLIN COUNTY
Lincoln County defeated Franklin County 4-0 on Thursday as three pitchers combined for a shutout. Lincoln County scored in the first inning on a triple and added two more runs in the second to build an early lead. The pitching staff limited Franklin County to just a few hits while the defense played cleanly without committing an error. Lincoln County also produced several key hits at the plate to help secure the win.
