2026 Power 25 Countdown: No. 20 Maryville Rebels

The Maryville High School baseball program finished the 2025 season with a record of 22-17 and was put out by eventual state champion Farragut in the regional round. The Rebels return a veteran lineup that has the opportunity to propel the program to take the next step. 

The anchor of the lineup is former Future Gamer 2026 C Cohen Babelay who is also a Tennessee Tech commit. Cohen is a true leader who will stick at catcher long term with good athleticism for the position. At the plate, Cohen is a gap to gap hitter that shows some real power potential. At the shortstop position will be 2027 Ben Dockery who has come on the scene strong as of late. Ben is a super athletic middle infielder that has a glove that will keep him in the middle of the field. At the plate, Ben is a burner with 6.57 speed along with power that has been up to 100 MPH exit velocity. Returning to the middle of the lineup is 2026 OF/C Gavin DiBartolomeo who is also a UT Martin commit. Gavin has proven to be a real RBI machine with a stocky build that leads to power to the gaps. In the field, Gavin has the ability to stick in the outfield or at the catcher position. Another young middle infielder that had a big impact last season is 2028 MIF Tallen VanOrtwick who plugged and played at second base while also hitting in the middle of the lineup as a freshman. Tallen is a high average hitter that has a baseball IQ well beyond his years. Tallen and Ben make up one of the best middle infield duos in the state. 

Maryville has one of the toughest regional matchups in the state. In 2026, Maryville has a special group that has the opportunity to compete and get over the hump and punch their ticket to Murfreesboro.
