Troy Fisher was one of the more intriguing prospects we followed this year and a personal favorite due to his high ceiling. The slim, athletic 6-foot-5, 185-pound infielder moved all over the diamond for the Royals Scout Team this season. His frame is extremely exciting, and the tools he shows only add to that intrigue, which is why Arkansas added him shortly after our Central Super Senior Games at Homefield in August.
Fisher moves well for his size, posting a 6.65 60-yard dash, mid-100 MPH exit velocities, and showing a strong arm with a 90 MPH infield velocity. The reason we’re so high on him, though, is the projection. As he continues to add strength and size over the next few years, he has a chance to become one of the most toolsy players in his class. We believe there is more arm strength in the tank as he learns to better use and time up his long levers, which should come naturally with added strength. His movement patterns and footwork are already exciting, and once he gets on campus with access to elite resources and development, the sky is truly the limit.
