PB of SC

The Preseason All-State South was run on Friday, January 30th, at The Shipyard Park in Mt. Pleasant, SC.  The Preseason All-State Showcase is an invitation-only event that features the top players across the state.  Every year the Preseason All-State Showcase highlights the Who’s Who of the state. This event is limited and exclusive to the top prospects in South Carolina and serves as a springboard as you enter the high school season.  Prep Baseball has become the authoritative voice of South Carolina high school baseball. Our website has developed into the ultimate promotional vehicle for players.  This setting provides a prime opportunity for prospects to strengthen their Prep Baseball profiles and position themselves for invitations to premier summer events such Carolina Border Battle, SC Top Prospect Games, Prep Baseball Future Games, JR Future Games, and SR Future Games.

The Preseason All-State Showcase plays a crucial role on the Prep Baseball calendar, serving as an early identification point before the SCHSL season. These events allow our scouting staff, and college recruiters, to establish a strong follow list entering the spring. Our staff strategically hosts preseason events across the state with the goal of identifying emerging prospects who have capitalized on the offseason, while also re-evaluating known players trending upward. Complete player profiles, including tech metrics, statistics, video, and detailed scouting reports, will be published on the Prep Baseball Report website, which is followed by more than 1,000 college programs nationwide.

The event used four check in groups to accommodate all players. Each group completed the same evaluation process. Position players took part in a pro style workout that included a laser timed 60, jump metrics recorded with Vald Performance technology, grip strength testing, and height and weight measurements. Pitchers threw bullpen sessions with every pitch tracked by TrackMan. Players also completed a defensive evaluation. The event finished with batting practice and TrackMan ball flight analysis.

Below we will look at the statistical breakdown for the event.
