Super 60 - Canadian Recap & History
February 3, 2026
The 2026 Prep Baseball Super 60 once again served as a premier stage for the top draft prospects in the country, and Canada was well represented with three standout athletes in Robert Omidi (ON, Fieldhouse Pirates), Elliott Lascelles (ON, Toronto Mets), and Easton Kitura (AB, Vauxhall Jets).
All three players are Prep Baseball Canada Future Games alumni, having participated in the event in 2024. “Having Omidi, Lascelles, and Kitura here in Chicago representing Canada is truly a full-circle moment. All three attended events at a young age and were selected to the Future Games for their first national tournament. They all handle themselves as professionals. They represented themselves, their families, and their programs with class at the Super 60 and helped put Canada’s stamp on the event.” - Josh Arce, Canadian Scouting Director.
Omidi, Lascelles, and Kitura each took different paths to the Super 60, but their journeys shared common checkpoints along the Prep Baseball circuit, ultimately bringing them together in Chicago for the final Prep Baseball event of their careers.

Robert Omidi SS / 3B / st martin, ON / 2026The Prep Baseball pipeline runs even deeper for Robert Omidi, also being selected to represent Canada as an underager at the 2023 Future Games, one of just a handful of two-time participants. The extended track record at the highest level helped establish him as Canada’s top hitter heading into this year’s MLB Draft, and he did not disappoint in the box at the Super 60. Omidi posted an average exit velocity of 95.7 mph, a max exit velocity of 103.4 mph, an average distance of 320 feet, and a max distance of 413 feet. His second round saw several balls hit his 98+ pull-side with an easy explosion off of the barrel; it was a classic Omidi round of BP.

Elliot Lascelles SS / 3B / Upper Canada College, ON / 2026Lascelles entered the year as Canada’s top position player in the 2026 draft class after generating significant helium last fall at the Canadian Futures Showcase, where the Toronto Mets product soared up draft boards. He backed that up at the Super 60, opening his workout with a 6.60 60-yard dash. He also showed added strength at the plate, recording a 100 mph max exit velocity, the highest mark of his high school career. Lascelles finished his workout with a flawless round of ground balls, displaying improved footwork, agility, and arm strength, with throws reaching 88 mph across the diamond. His stock continues to trend upward as he strengthens his case to be one of the top prep selections in this year’s draft.

He also ran a 6.69 60-yard dash, his fastest time ever recorded at a Prep Baseball event. In the outfield, his 6-foot-1, 193-pound athletic frame and actions stood out. An area of focus this offseason was arm strength, and the gains were evident, as Kitura recorded a career-best 89 mph outfield velocity at the event.
