February 11, 2026
The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 23 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.
Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.
Our 2026 preseason coverage continues today.

- Ethan Workman - OF, 2026, 5'10, 170, L/L.
- Consistent presence at the top of the order as a junior and not expecting that to change much at all for his senior season. Good mix of speed and gap-to-gap pop.

- Silas Foster - OF, 2026, 6'1, 190, R/R.
- Silas had some opportunity last year as a junior but has really made some big strides both physically and mentally. He blends power and speed well and anchors our OF. Ready for him to take advantage of his opportunity.

Coach’s Insight: “Our frontline starters on the mound will give us a chance to win every time they go out. We have great team speed and can defend at a high level. We graduated a ton of guys, but return guys in really key spots that should allow our inexperienced guys to adjust well. Our depth will be tested on the mound this season, and we will have several new, inexperienced faces in a few spots. ” – Joe Haddox, head coach
Outlook: Moore comes into 2026 with heightened expectations following a strong 2025 spring and numerous returners on both sides of the ball. The Lions lost six seniors that are now playing college baseball, but have reloaded with youth and players that have developed from within the program that are primed to contribute at the varsity level. On the mound, they have a district tandem that will give them an opportunity to win each time out and their different styles will make it a tough adjustment back to back. Offensively, they have an opportunity to be one of the most exciting and dynamic offenses in 6A with guys that understand their roles and can create pressure on the bases. With the return of difference makers in key spots around the yard along with their frontline district starters, Moore will not sneak up on anyone in 2026 as they work toward a run at a state title.
