We continue our spring high school previews and projections with a look at 15 "Picks to Click" as we inch closer to the 2026 baseball season. Highlighted in these stories are players that we believe are in contention for "Player of the Year" or "Pitcher of the Year" and we will give a detailed analysis, including video on each. Without further ado, the next player we would like to highlight is Longwood University commit Julian Christman from Lake Forest.

The physical right-hander has been one of the biggest risers in each of the last two rankings updates to close out the year, and it has been undoubtedly for good reason. The Lake Forest product was a steady follow throughout the summer, leading a loaded Richmond Braves pitching staff in each look, and he compounded that with an even better fall.

The fastball ticked up in each one of our looks in the backend of 2025, working in the upper 80s and consistently grabbing a few 91s and even a 92 in a Prep Baseball DC tournament in September. It’s a heavy fastball that shows ride through the zone and the ability to induce whiffs both in and out of the zone. It’s a confident pitch that is not afraid to attach in the zone throughout the count. The overhand curveball is one of my favorites in Delaware, thrown with confidence and able to locate at the knees to get whiffs and freezes late in the count. Arguably possessing the top FB/CB mix in the state, Christman is poised for a huge spring season.
