RISERS & NEWCOMERS

Levi Abrego | INF | Iowa Colony | 5’11 188

24 → 14

Abrego jumps 10 spots after another strong showing at the South TX Preseason All-State. High-level athlete with a legitimate power/speed combination. Posted a 104 mph max EV (95.5 avg EV) and consistently impacted the baseball with authority. 6.69 runner with burst that pressures defenses. On the dirt, shows solid actions and body control with an 89 mph arm across the infield. Strength, bat speed, and athleticism continue to trend up.

Bryce Wilhite | RHP | Flower Mound Marcus | 5’10 190

115 → 42

Compact, strong frame with a clean full-circle arm action and present arm speed. Fastball touched 91 mph in the pen (88–90 consistently) with more velocity coming. Flashed both a curveball and slider with quality action, along with a changeup that shows feel and movement. Around the zone with his entire mix. An intriguing right-hander whose stuff should continue to tick up.

Benjamin Terry | RHP/C | Flour Bluff

96 → 62

Terry impressed last summer and continues to trend upward. Quick arm on the mound, already 90+ mph with a quality breaking ball. Athletic behind the plate and competes in the box. Strong-armed, versatile ballplayer with impact potential on both sides of the ball.

Kenny Estes | 1B | Homeschool (Round Rock, TX) | 6’2 230

NR → 69

Big-time juice showed up in our first look at Estes at the Central Texas Preseason ID. The physical sophomore posted a loud 109.1 mph max EV (top of the day) and drove balls out to 429 feet, clearing 400’ multiple times in BP. Controlled violence from the right side with real barrel feel and strength through contact. Middle-of-the-order power upside.

Finley Wilson | CF/LHP | Melissa | 5’8 148

127 → 70

Athletic, projectable frame with room to add strength. 6.91 runner with noticeable explosiveness; speed should continue trending toward plus. Solid defender who can handle center field with developing arm strength. Line-drive approach through the middle with emerging pull-side power.
On the mound, repeats a clean delivery. Fastball topped 84 mph with life. Curveball shows feel and can land for strikes. Changeup features tail/action. Athletic two-way with real upside as strength continues to come.

Luke Gatzke | OF | Rockwall-Heath | 5’11 165

NR → 91

Showed real athleticism and future power/speed upside at North TX Preseason All-State. Plus runner (6.54) with hard contact in BP (101.3 EV) that should continue to climb with added strength. Moves well in the outfield and profiles comfortably in center. Trending up.

Owen Strain | LHP/1B | Westlake

NR → 93

Physical two-way who looked the part in early preseason action. Mid-80s fastball with a breaking ball that generated swing-and-miss. At the plate, keeps the barrel in the zone and shows a mature approach. Should contribute on both sides this year at Westlake.

Blayne Namken | C | New Braunfels

123 → 95

Added noticeable strength and it shows. Confident receiver behind the plate with improving control of the run game. Offensive impact is trending up as well, positioning himself as a key piece of the Unicorns lineup.

Gavin Morris | CF | Southlake Carroll | 5’10 180

NR → 110

Projects well physically. 6.88 runner now with a chance to develop into a consistent 6.7 runner. Aggressive to the baseball in center field with growing range. Swing continues to develop; showed pull-side power in BP. Tools are there for continued ascent.

Luis Arcaya | INF | Lamar | 6’1 212

177 → 116

Serious juice in the barrel at South TX Preseason All-State. Posted multiple triple-digit exit velocities with 75+ mph bat speed. Primarily pull-side power but can drive the ball up the middle. A true game-changer capable of flipping a game with one swing.

Joseph Kadane | CF | Coppell | 6’0 185

NR → 126

Strong, athletic build with room to add strength. 6.91 runner currently with speed still developing toward plus. Moves well in the outfield with natural range. Shows pull-side power and solid barrel contact. Toolsy player trending in the right direction.
