Yates is one of the more physical infielders to come out of the 2027 Missouri class, and he’s a player we saw multiple times this summer. The Missouri State commit made an impact both at the hot corner and on the mound for the Inevitable A’s, with his arm strength standing out in both roles. Like many players on this list, Yates generates serious power in everything he does. He’s posted exit velocities up to 101 mph, bat speeds of 84 mph, a max fastball of 89.3 mph, and an infield velocity of 93 mph, all of which grade out as above average.
At 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, we believe there’s even more power coming as he continues to add strength over the next few years. Once he gets on campus and continues to develop physically, those already impressive numbers could climb even higher.
